Dashboard → AI Agents → Voice Agents
A Voice Agent is an AI receptionist that talks to customers in a natural voice, on your website or over a real phone line, any time of day. It can answer questions, qualify leads, book appointments, and hand off to a real person when needed.

What it can do
Web calls
Add a call button on your site. Visitors talk to your agent right from the browser. No phone number needed to try it out.
Real phone number
Get a dedicated phone number your agent answers. Ask Buildy and mention your preferred area code when you want a local-sounding number.
Outbound calls
The agent can call leads or customers (for example, follow-ups or appointment reminders). Outbound calling requires a phone number on the project.
Call transfer
Hand callers to a real person when needed. You set the transfer number and rules, including warm or cold transfer, so complex calls still reach your team.
Voicemail detection
On outbound calls, the agent can detect voicemail and hang up, leave a set message, or craft one on the fly so you do not burn minutes on dead air.
After-call insights
Every call is logged with a transcript plus extracted details like caller sentiment, issue category, and whether it was resolved. Open the call logs on this page to review them.
Plans and languages
Minutes and Voice Plan
Creating an agent and running web calls work on your plan's voice minutes.
A real phone number and outbound calling require the Voice Plan add-on ($29/mo).
Languages
English is the default. Other languages are available. Ask Buildy which language you need and it will configure the agent.
How it works with chat
Describe the job in chat. Buildy creates the agent, voice, and scripts. You test from this Dashboard section and refine with follow-up messages.
Try asking:
- Create a voice agent that qualifies leads and books calls
- Give my voice agent a phone number with a 415 area code
- Add a "Call us" button to my homepage
- Transfer callers to my cell when they ask for a human

Pro tip: test before you publish the number
Run a few web calls yourself (and have a teammate try) before you put the phone number on your site or Google Business Profile. Fix awkward answers while the audience is still just you.
