Glossary of Buildy Terms

Your main project in Buildy; the website or tool you are building.

The live view of what your visitors would see; updates as Buildy changes your app.

The control room where you change settings, data, AI agents, domains, and more.

A saved snapshot of your app that Buildy can roll back to if you don’t like later changes.

A long, detailed first message that explains your idea, audience, and goals so Buildy can plan your app.

Your CRM under the Dashboard. Leads, customers, and form submissions live here so you can follow up, tag people, and send marketing.

The advanced area that stores your app’s database tables and records. Everyday lead and customer work belongs in Contacts; only advanced users should edit Data Management, because changes edit the live database.

A reusable database table of business records, such as Bookings or Products, stored under Data Management.

A single row in a table, like one booking or one product.

A column in a table, like 'email', 'price', or 'created_at'.

A person who has an account for your app; includes built-in fields like email, full name, and role.

A person who showed interest (for example by filling out a form). Leads are stored in Contacts.

A smart helper powered by AI that can answer questions or talk to people for you.

A chatbot that lives on your website as a chat bubble and responds with written replies.

An AI that talks out loud through web calls or phone calls.

A call that runs in the browser using the computer’s microphone and speakers. Web calls use voice minutes the same way phone calls do.

A phone call the AI places to a real phone number, often after a form is submitted.

The pool of minutes that all your voice agents share when they are on calls. Minutes are used for both browser-based web calls and real phone calls.

Your website’s main address, like www.yourbrand.com.

A domain name you own that you connect to your Buildy app instead of using the default link.

Short for 'Domain Name System'; a system that tells the internet which server your domain should point to.

A DNS entry that points your domain directly to an IP address (the 'street address' of your site).

A DNS entry that points one name (like www) to another name, so both go to the same place.

The behind-the-scenes protection that gives you the padlock icon and https:// in the browser.

A connection between your app and another service, like Stripe, Slack, or Gmail.

A hidden helper that runs on a secure server to do work that should not happen in the browser, like calling an external API with a secret key.

A secret code that lets your app talk to another service’s API.

Any sensitive value (like an API key) stored in a safe place so it is not exposed on public pages.

A special URL that another service can call to notify your app when something happens (like a payment or event).

Information Buildy reads from your app to understand your tone, colors, audience, and style for marketing content.

Ads that run on Meta platforms, like Facebook and Instagram.

A group of related ads or messages created to reach a specific goal, like signups or sales.

The actual text and images that appear in an ad or social media post.
