Dashboard → Website Settings

Website Settings is where you control how your website presents itself: its name, icon, Buildy branding badge, and a one-click code export. Open it from the Dashboard under Your website when you want to rename the site, update the logo, or download a copy of the source.

What is inside

Site Branding

Set your website name and website icon. The name and icon show in browser tabs, search results, project cards, and as your site's logo.

For the icon, upload your own file or let Buildy generate one with AI. Keep the name short and on-brand so it reads cleanly in a tab.

Buildy Branding

Toggle Show Branding Badge to control the small Made with Buildy badge on your site. Whether you can hide it depends on your plan.

Buildy affiliates can add an optional Affiliate ID. When visitors sign up through the badge, you can earn commission on those referrals.

Code Export

Download your website's source code as a zip. Use this for a backup or to share the project with a developer. Everyday building and publishing do not require an export.

How it works with chat

You can change many of these settings by asking Buildy directly. Chat is often faster than hunting through menus when you already know what you want.

Publishing is elsewhere

Website Settings does not control going live. Use the Publish & Share button at the top right when you are ready for the world to see your latest version.

Access lives on Sign-in Page

Who can see your website (public vs. login-only) is managed under Sign-in Page, not here. Visit that section to set visibility and access requirements.

Name it like your brand

Pick a clear website name early. It shows in the browser tab, search results, and other places visitors notice, so a short brand name reads cleaner than a long internal project title.

Pro tip: brand before you share the link

Set your real website name and icon (and check the badge setting) before you send the link to customers. First impressions stick, and a polished name and icon in the browser tab look more professional than a temporary project title.
