This is a relatively quick tour of Buildy's features as of about the end of January 2026. It does not include the Agency features, those will be covered in a separate tour video.

[00:00:00] Bill: All right, let's talk about Buildy.ai. Now, traditionally, when you create websites or apps or anything that lives on the web, there's a lot of technical stuff that you have to worry about. Things like web hosting or servers or databases that hold your data, or how to send email. And there's all these things that are technical infrastructure that someone usually has to worry about. Because we're using Buildy, there's no worry. It just handles it all for you. You don't have to worry about hosting, it hosts your projects for you. You don't have to worry about databases, it takes care of that. Email, takes care of that. It even takes care of something called authentication, which is where if you want to have usernames and passwords to allow people to log into your apps and tools, it takes care of that too. So it's all encompassing, it allows you to know nothing about technology and to speak in plain old English to Buildy and to be able to launch your app, business, quiz funnel, whatever it is you might be wanting to make.
[00:01:05] So let's do this, I'm going to go through all of the different features and from start to finish, how to build a project. And I'm going to start out by sharing the screen here. This is what Buildy looks like when you first log in and go to the homepage and you've got a text box here that you can just talk to Buildy and have it help you build, okay? So, for the sake of speed. I am just going to paste in a prompt that I have pre-written. When you usually work with Buildy, you can talk to it and ask it for advice and talk to it about what you want to build. Now, ordinarily you would talk to Buildy in plain English and you can even ask for advice on what to build if you're not sure. And you have this button here that says, "Not sure what to build?" and it will guide you through as well.
[00:01:52] Now what I'm going to do is I'm going to take a request that I have already written, I've already created it, and I'm going to paste it in here. And what this particular prompt is going to build is a weight loss quiz called "What Diet Should I Choose?" And it goes through instructions on how to do it. They're not super long and it is going to fill up. A quiz that's then going to answer a question to help people decide what diet to choose. And it's going to promote what are called affiliate products that I get paid commissions when people sign up for them. So that was the app I told it to make right here. I'm just going to submit it and then we'll watch what happens, okay?
[00:02:33] So then this loads up your building tools. So you'll see how here on the left side is a chat panel. This is where you chat and talk to Buildy. You can drag it and make it bigger if you want it to have to be bigger or smaller, whatever is convenient for you. And then on the right side, you'll see this is the preview window where a preview of your website or app or tool will show up here on this side. You'll notice there's a bunch of options here as well. Let's first start down at the bottom while we let Buildy do its thing and create my project for me. You can see down here there is an "Attach" button, so you can add attachments. Let's say you have images that you want to include on your pages, you can attach them here. Also we have what's called the visual editor. We'll return to this one because this is how you edit your projects when you want to manually edit them. Of course you'll notice there's a microphone button here as well. So if you'd like to speak to Buildy instead of typing, you can do that by pressing the microphone button.
[00:03:37] So while Buildy is doing its thing, we're going to continue our tour. So up here is the preview showing you what page. Buildy is currently previewing for your website or app. When the app has multiple pages, they'll appear here as a dropdown, you'll be able to select them. You also have a little notice about whether your app is healthy or whether you need to have Buildy do some error checking. Here we can switch back and forth to mobile view or desktop view so we can see what it's going to look like on either device. And then this little round circle is a refresh button. So if you want to just refresh what the preview is here after you've made some changes, you can click that.
[00:04:17] The network logger is kind of a more advanced feature. You'll notice here this is kind of technical, so unless you're technical and trying to debug things, you can ignore that unless you're working with my team and they're helping you debug something. Now, one thing that happens once a project first gets spun up is Buildy actually sets you up a custom development server. It's a temporary server. It actually creates a server, spins it up, and builds your project on this temporary server that's used while you're testing and coding and modifying and working on your website or your app. Then when it's ready, and you're ready for the public to see it, you click the "Publish" button that you see up here on the top right of the screen. So by clicking "Publish," that moves your project from your test development server to your live servers. And our live servers are specifically tuned and designed to be high performance. So they're fast, they're secure, and that's for your live app. And then here in the preview window, what you are seeing is your development app on your development server.
[00:05:28] So you actually have two sets of servers working together, one where your app is developed, and one where the project is published for the world to see. And again, if you don't click "Publish," the world will not see your app. So you'll notice there is a preview here, and you may also see preview links, like we can see a link here, in the chat there where it says "Preview." If I click it, it's going to show a full screen preview of my project that we just built. So there's my quiz that we just asked it to make. But this is temporary, this is a preview, this is not the permanent servers where it lives. So do not come and grab this link and then go out and use it and share it with others. This is just temporary. It will not become permanent until you click "Publish" up here. Alright, now that we have established that, another quick tour, you'll notice that it says "Built with Buildy.ai" on the bottom. So every new project comes with Buildy the branding turned on. It's very easy to turn that off, if you would like to leave it on and earn money from this badge, you can do that by signing up to our affiliate program and leaving that on. But where you turn it off is under the managed tab, which is what I'd like to cover next. And in here we have many settings. I won't cover them all in this video, but the one I want to zero in on right now, so if we go down here, you'll see "Buildy Branding." Okay, we can turn that off. So we're just going to toggle that off. Now if you, again, if you want to leave it on, you can also, if you want to earn money from this sign up for our affiliate program and follow these instructions. And when people click your Buildy badge and if they sign up for Buildy, you can get a commission. So we're going to turn it off for now. We've also got app visibility for this app that you're building right here. I recommend you leave it "Public" with no login required. And then click "Save Changes." If you don't click "Save Changes," anything you change in these fields won't save, okay? And now that Buildy badge will be gone when we publish the app.
[00:07:38] Okay, let's go back to the manage tab. One thing, for those of you who are techies, I want to show you something really quick. We have what's called "Developer Mode." So again, if you are comfortable around technology and code and you understand that stuff, you can turn this on. And then what that does is it enables you to see the code and it gives you some of the advanced features. As an example, we have the Code tab here, so you can click and you can look into the source code of your project and we can look at our pages and other things. You can also edit your code. So again, don't do that unless you're experienced and you are a developer. So I only recommend people turn this on and work with their code if you are a skilled technical person. Now, the other thing that will happen when you turn on developer mode is Buildy in the chat over here will speak to you a little bit more technically. Like, it'll understand that you understand tech. So it might talk to you a little bit more "technically." When you have developer mode turned off, it just talks in plain old English and it won't speak to you like you're a developer. Now, this is where your data lives. So eventually when you have data coming into your app being saved, it shows up in here. And there's a bunch of other features. We'll return to some of these in just a moment.
[00:08:59] And, by the way, not only does Buildy build your software tools, it markets them too. So you can see here, you can create voice agents that answer inbound phone calls. Text, so like chatbots for doing your support. You have a whole suite of marketing tools that can help you with your ads, your social media, and your email marketing and a lot more to come.
[00:09:19] And when you do have developer mode turned on, you'll notice a thing at the bottom here called GitHub. If you don't know what GitHub is, you can skip this entirely and it does not matter. You do not even need to know. But, those of you who are technical, you know that GitHub is the place where you can export and save code. So if you have a GitHub account, it can save the code base, like the code that you saw me browsing over here, right? This code can get pushed to your GitHub automatically if you have a GitHub account. If you don't have a GitHub account and you don't know what this is, you can completely skip it. It is not required, Buildy works without it. This is only for those who want to save a copy of their code in their own accounts.
[00:10:07] Okay, now let's go back to preview real quick and we're going to look at the app that we built. The first thing you're going to want to do is test it. So check it and make sure that the links work when you click on the links in the app. The functionality works. So let's start our quiz right? So we're going to put my name in here. Say "start quiz."
[00:10:32] "How would you describe your carb intake?" Well, I'm just going to fill this out like somebody who eats a lot of carbs. "How do you feel about high fat foods?" " How much flexibility you need in social and eating out." I'll say... there we go. "Are you willing to track your food intake? Willing to adjust the times you eat?" Sure. "Quiz complete." So there we go. This is the quiz that we just made. All of that worked correctly. Now here's the cool part where it's going to show us our results and promote our affiliate offers. So if we click this now, I have to put in my email address. So, I'm going to put in a test email, and what this does, it allows us to be able to subscribe users to our email list. You can save them to the database, and you can do email marketing to them once they have submitted their email address here.
[00:11:26] There we go. Here is our AI-generated report. So this is a personalized report just for me, based on the answers that I gave, and notice that it actually addresses me by name and it promotes all of the affiliate offers. So I can click these and it's going to promote those affiliate offers which then I get paid when people buy them, right? Pretty cool app that we just built. This is actually a moneymaking app that you just saw me build in just a couple of minutes. So it looks like this is really good, I like it. So now we know that the app works, but what do you do if something is broken? What if there's something about this that you don't like?
[00:12:11] Like, let's say you want to change the words here, or let's say it's actually broken and you need to debug it. So I want to cover that real quick. Now we have more extensive training, so depending upon what courses and, and what trainings you have from us. You may be getting access to some very extensive training from Ross or other members of my team on how to debug as you're going through making more complex apps.
[00:12:37] But you can always ask Buildy, something's not working, ask Buildy about it and ask what can be done to fix it. Also, if you ever notice that this "App Healthy" button turns colors and tells you that you need debugging, you're going to want to click this and ask Buildy to debug your app, right? You don't need to be a coder. You don't need to know how to do anything, you just ask Buildy to fix it for you in plain English.
[00:13:03] The other way is our Visual Editor, so you can click the Visual Editor. We can come in here and we can change these. So, let's say we want to change that and we're going to turn it to orange, okay? That's very ugly. But there you go. And then let's say I want to turn that, we'll turn that purple, okay. And we can also edit the text, right? We can do all of that, like here's a button, we can change the color of the button. Actually, that changed the text of the button, but we'll change the background orange. There we go. We could change the size. Let's say we want to make that 2 XL, boom! Let's say we want to make it bold, we could do that as well. All right. Now, obviously, I just made my design look really ugly and I don't want to save these, but if you wanted to. You could click "Save Changes." And all the changes you made would be saved to your app. But I just made it look horrible. So I'm going to just click discard. And I'll confirm I want to discard, and then boom, all my changes are gone. Pretty cool.
