How to Use The Buildy Consultant Tools to Easily Find and Close Clients
1. The "Results In Advance" approach, and how to use it to rapidly build your client base.

[00:00:00] Bill: What are you going to be selling in the first place? Like how do you actually make money? And I use the word "selling" because that's just the traditional thing that you say, right? And we have an approach here that is really different. We're not going to be "selling" in the traditional sense. Selling involves convincing someone to put trust in you and give you money before you've delivered, okay? That's what selling is all about. And what we are doing, and the thing that makes this such a great opportunity is that we don't have to do that.
[00:00:30] Up until just recently with the technology that we've got available to us here, you had to sell in advance, right? Because it was far too time consuming and expensive to build websites, set up voice agents, create custom things for clients, create software. All of these things took a long time and were expensive to do ahead of time. But now with this technology like it's like that. Maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit, but it's three minutes and you have a website that you can now go out to a client, and you have delivered results in advance. It's a whole different ballgame. So if you've had any past like failures or worry or concern about selling, whether it's because maybe somebody was an awful salesperson and was too pushy and, but you felt like you were in an arm wrestling match, trying to get away from a sales rep, the used car phenomenon, that's the stereotype - then this is different than that.
[00:01:29] This is something completely different, and in fact, I would like to bring Colin on for a moment. You've been through this process. Yeah. So how does this compare to the traditional arm wrestling style of selling?
[00:01:41] Collin: Yeah. Well, I've tried that style of selling and it's so much harder. With this, it's almost like as soon as you're in there, they're sold already because you have a conversation, and it's not like pushing an agenda down their throat. You're not like, "Hey, I make websites. I'm going to sell you this website." You have a website that you've already built, with a bot, you show it to them and they're just in awe, because most people will go in without evidence that they can do a thing and want to be paid. And with this method, you're going in with the evidence that you can do this and that you've already done it. And it just surprises people.
[00:02:17] Bill: Yeah, there's no need to put faith in you or trust you or know your skill levels or any of that stuff. Or wondering if they give you money, are you going to run off and disappear and not deliver? This guide walks through the psychology of how we get our clients to give us money, and it's a lot different than probably any training you've ever seen or heard when it comes to getting people to give you money. You go through the whole guide, it explains about how this is different than traditional sales. It's a different psychology that happens. There's a whole different process that happens in your customer's mind compared to traditional selling. So this section here goes into why this model, this selling approach can be used in a lot of different ways. I've used it online, offline, in a variety of ways, but it's really well suited for what we're doing here. This chapter goes through why that is and why, especially for you as a Buildy consultant partner, you have a big advantage to use this approach. So it's a pretty extensive guide and I would like to give it to you.
[00:03:22] A couple things I do want to focus in on this approach is a lot different where you're providing the results in advance, and then you want to set up the experience so that the prospect feels a loss if they say no, so they actually feel like they're going to lose something by saying no. You've shown them so much value, you've educated them to understand the value. And if they say no, the thing that you've shown them is going away, they're going to lose it. So it's a different approach. And for the people that have said yes to you, did you get a sense of like how valuable the thing you showed them is?
[00:04:01] Collin: So the first business I walked into when I showed them, their cook actually came out because he was the guy that usually does their social media. And he tried websites before. So he's got his gloves on and everything.
[00:04:14] Bill: That's hilarious! I did not know this.. So their marketing guy was their cook?
[00:04:18] Collin: Yep. He came out and he looked at it and he was like, "I've been trying to figure this stuff out for a long time." They've been around for probably about 10 years actually. But he was like, "yeah, we've been trying to figure this out for a long time. It's always just either too much money if someone approaches us or the style doesn't look good enough." And he said, "I can't do it. It's not in my wheelhouse." So I could tell right away it was really important to them and it was something they wanted to do because they have no idea how to do it.
[00:04:45] Bill: Cool. And that's the effect that you guys are going for. When you go out and see a business, we're going to be zeroing in on a couple of products. The first two products that you'll all go out and want to pitch. We're going to be websites and voice bots. And what my recommended strategy is to use the Buildy Consultant tool and you will find companies that do not have websites. You will build them a website and pre-install a voice agent on it. So that it's a "double wow factor" when you go out and do your demo. And so you'll pre-install those. You'll either do the demo in person, you can email it to people, and I think your best effect will be if you do it in person or on a Zoom call. Or you can also just email them the link, do the sales process by email. Then maybe a follow-up call. But again, I would recommend, especially you get a chance to see their face and their reaction and that's how you learn things like Colin just did that it was their cook that had been trying to figure this out. You wouldn't have got that if you would've just been on the phone, I think.
[00:05:50] Collin: Yeah, a lot of gatekeepers on the phone. People are always gatekeeping from the "big boss" and that you need to get to talk to.
[00:05:56] Bill: Yeah. And so this flips the whole conversation on its head because they're wowed by what you've shown them, especially with the voice bot on it, they'll be double wowed, and it becomes really, can the pricing work out to a way that is logical and that they can afford? Either it is or it isn't at that point. And if it isn't, that's okay. How everyone should approach this is to never, ever feel like you have to sell someone. You should be able to take it or leave it, and you should have that attitude and that approach, because if you get into a desperation mindset while you're selling, it does something to the sales process, it ruins it almost in a sense. I don't know if it's because the prospects sniff that out and they feel the desperation or what, but when you can quite literally walk out and all you have lost is three minutes of your time and no money, you need to be completely okay, which is walking away. And if they say no, it doesn't hurt you at all in any way. Talking about this, when you were out there, how did you feel about that?
[00:06:58] Collin: I was nervous, obviously, when I went in, just what you're saying. I built the website in a matter of probably three to five minutes, so it's not like I worked so hard to thing together. It's not something I was so attached to that I had to sell to this person. It'd be nice. But it's not going to crush my soul if I don't make the sale. I'm just going to go on to the next person, the next person, and next person. And eventually the right person will see the value in it. They'll jump on it and it'll be a no-brainer for them.
[00:07:27] Bill: In on that for a moment too, just to set everyone's expectations. I know you had an extraordinary, magical experience here. Your first day out, right? And boom, you landed a deal. You walked outta there with a, it $750 check I think they gave you, and I think now they're signing up to start paying monthly for voice bots and stuff. That was a really awesome thing. But I don't want to make it sound like that everyone is going to experience that, right? I want to be completely transparent here. The usual experience is going to be, you're going to talk to a few people before you start getting that close. And you're going to have to go through a process where you get comfortable. How you describe the website, how you deal with the process starts to feel smooth and comfortable. And then at some point you will get a "Yes!" And I want everyone to realize that your first rounds out there, or however you're going to be closing, you're going to be doing some volume, you're going to do this several times likely before you get your first close.
[00:08:26] And then you get some confidence. You start to get confidence in what you're doing, especially as you start to see people react to what you built. And they'll be like, "Wow!" Like you said, Colin, they're trying to figure it out for who knows how long, and boom, there it is. So the more you see those kinds of reactions, the more chances you get to practice, the closes will come. Then they'll come more often and it will get easier. But the search is really justifying a match. You guys want to find the perfect customer, the customer that you would love to keep working with, who appreciates what you do. Who wants what you offer. And then you've been able to figure out the pricing to make it so that you're making good money, but they're getting value. That is more of a negotiation over that than it is a sales process. Can you give them a price that in their mind is a good return on investment and they're happy about the whole thing? And you'll be in the quest to find where that spot is and get the deal. And that's the process in a nutshell. And I do believe that once you get someone who says, "This is great, I would love to have this!" I do think there will be a fair amount of negotiation on that. What have you seen, Colin?
[00:09:38] Collin: With a few of the people I've talked to, they didn't budge the price I gave them, which makes me feel like I should have started higher. Like when I walk in and said $750, they just looked at me like, "Oh, that's it? Okay." So I feel if I were to start. A little higher, maybe like $1250 or something around that area. Maybe then there'd be a little more action on "Hey can we do a thousand?" or something like that. But definitely starting a little higher on that is something I want to start doing a little more often. Because, like I said, everyone heard $750 for the website and they were like, "Oh, okay".
[00:10:14] Bill: Yeah. I think the thing that happens also, there's this psychology, it's called price anchoring, and it's really irrational and it's a subconscious mind thing and it doesn't make a lot of sense. But the first price that someone hears or thinks about in reference to another thing, it becomes anchor in the mind, is a solid piece of information that they then compare all of their prices and values to, right? So, when you come in and you go, "Normally I would charge $3,000 to custom design a website. But, because I've already built this for you and I can see you guys really need it, I am willing to negotiate a bit." And I think even if you just start with a high price and then make sure they understand that you're willing to be flexible because you're looking for good clients. And I think that approach is going to be the way to go. So even if you start off anchoring at a really high price, I think you'll find that you'll come out with a pretty good result.
[00:11:12] And then one other thing that you can do to anchor a price is to compare and contrast against other designers out there who charge $5,000, some more, so you can say, "Hey, my competitors charge like $5,000 for something like this." Now you've anchored the price at $5,000 when you start to talk, then the sense of loss will really kick in. They'll be like, "Oh, I can't spend $5,000 on it. Now I'm going to lose this thing." And then you come to the rescue with a price they can afford. But pricing is ultimately up to you, go close your own deals and do your own thing. You charge any price you want, as little as much as you want. Totally up to you.

[00:00:00] Bill: Hey, we made it. Hello out there and welcome. We're going to be talking about the Buildy Consultant Program on this broadcast. And we're here with a live audience, and I have some of the team with me. Of course, over to my... Let's see. You're over... No, that way. Over there is, is Jay. And and then we have down directly below me, we have Russell.
[00:00:28] And then let's see if I can figure out how to point to... Let's see. There, eh, eh, eh. Down over there in the corner over...
[00:00:34] Collin: Yeah.
[00:00:35] Bill: Is Colin. So, we're going to be talking about the Buildy Consultant Program, and the reason you've got all four of us is we all have a lot of experience in serving small businesses. I know Jay, and Russell, and myself, for many years have had agencies over the years, worked with local clients done consulting of various kinds. Then more recently Colin has had a real, runaway breakthrough success using Buildy to do that. So we're all going to chat a little bit with you today about how you can use the Buildy Consultant Program to make as much money as possible. And so we're going to walk through just a quick little overview of what I'll be covering today, is what is the Consultant Program in the first place? So we're going to cover that. How do you earn money from it? How the program works. I want to explain and clarify some differences between our Agency program that we have, our partner program, compared to the Consultant, they're different programs, so I want to make sure it's really clear on what the differences are. Also, we have a technique that we call our "results in advance" strategies that we're going to be advising that you use to sell as a consultant. We're going to go over that. I have a bonus strategy on how you can land business clients. Then we'll walk you through step by step the entire process of using your consultant features. They're all available and unlocked in your account, and i'll show you how you access them. And then we'll do some Q&A. So that's the agenda today. Anything else, guys, that you can think of we're going to cover, or shall we just dive into it?
[00:02:18] Jay: Yeah, that's good. I think that sounds like a great agenda.
[00:02:22] Bill: All right. Cool, cool. All right. So before we get started, one thing I want to cover right off the top, Jay, and, and you can talk a bit about this. Just generally, where they go to get help and where there's like they want to learn how to use any particular feature in Buildy, and what are the best practices for getting help from our team?
[00:02:42] Jay: Oh, okay. Well first off we have the Buildy AI Guide . So it's over on docs.buildy.ai. So you can go over there, and you'll be able to access that and get information. There is also a chat feature there too, so you can ask it about Buildy and whatever you want to there. There was already sent out a specific link for this program. And that is also on the Buildy doc center. And so it's over there, and you can go ahead and access that at any time. So right now, there is already a video there on what we're going to be talking about, the results on our strategy for getting results in advance.. And so that is already up there for you, and hopefully you had a chance to look at it before you got here today. If not, well, it'll be there later on. And then this video will be there to accompany it later. And then from there, it'll, this will be converted into one or maybe two videos that'll also be on that same page eventually with transcript and everything. So, that is where you're going to find most information about this program in particular. The other way you can get help is to simply send in an email to help@buildy.ai if you run into technical issues or something isn't working right for you then you can do that.
[00:03:55] And and, and so those are, those are the main places to start with that.
[00:04:01] Bill: Awesome. Awesome, awesome. Yeah, so then to double confirm that, that this video right here will be recorded and made available in there for everyone to come back and watch it again.
[00:04:12] Jay: Mm-hmm.
[00:04:14] Bill: Cool. Well, so let's dive in first to what is the Consultant Program? We created it as a way for people to be able to use Buildy to promote to small and local businesses. So it doesn't have to be a physical bricks and mortar business. It could be any kind of business really. But I had people asking me pretty regularly that they don't want to be a full-blown agency, that they, for whatever reason, they weren't quite ready for our partnership program or our agency programs whether it was they were looking for a more affordable way to do it, or they're just not interested in being an agency, but they wanted to figure out how can they make money with Buildy. And one of the ways that we've always had is what's called an affiliate program, where you can promote Buildy, just the whole software platform, the whole AI business building platform as an affiliate, and you can get commissions for that. And I thought, what a great way to make this really work for everyone would be how do we combine both so we can have the best of an affiliate program that's easy, right? Affiliate marketing is, like, super easy. That's why people are interested in it. The agency model people are interested in because they want to be able to earn higher ticket prices. So how can I kind of smash the two of them together? And that's where the Consultant Program comes from. You actually get a chance to work as essentially an extension of my team, so of, of the Buildy team here. You get to promote Buildy to local businesses or any kind of business. We'll show you how you can build them sites, so you'll be building them websites, for the most part is the easiest thing. You will earn a 100% commission on the first month of your clients' Buildy subscriptions.
[00:06:00] So you're promoting Buildy. Your customers will sign up for a Buildy account. The first month, you will get 100% of the money that comes in from that subscription, which will be $99. Plus, we're going to charge a $200 setup fee for every new client that you bring on board that covers the cost of you setting up their website. So we're going to run through the process of how that works. So you use our simple point, click, drag, drop tools that streamline the whole process. You'll build their site for them, and then it'll go into their Buildy account, and you get 100% of all of the subscription revenue from month one, plus 100% of the setup fees, which is $299 bucks a pop. And Russell, there's something magical about that $299 amount that they get from every client. Do you remember what that is?
[00:06:55] Russell: Yeah. So, so basically by the time you go in and get... And notice I don't use the word "close" because this is like the anti-sales loophole with that reverse pitch, right? So you're really not "selling" it. Really they're already sold on it because it's theirs, it's their baby that you're showing them. So the magical part of that is the first one that says yes, you've recouped the investment that you put into the Buildy AI Consultant Program. So that's awesome.
[00:07:29] Bill: Just one deal and you're ROI positive. Yep. Yeah, yeah. So, that's how that works. And then what we're going to cover today is a unique selling method that as Russell said, it's selling without selling. It's like sales without closing. " Results in advance" is what we've been calling it.
[00:07:48] And, and what we'll show you how to do is go to where there is a "starving crowd." There's a classic marketing talk from Gary Halbert, who's a master of copywriting and persuasion, kind of the godfather of modern copywriting really on the internet. And Gary's not with us anymore, but his story is about the one advantage that you will always want in business is a crowd of people who are starving for your solution. And so that's what we have built for you. We have a way for you to go out there to the businesses who don't yet have websites. And you might be surprised. You might be thinking to yourself, "Well, doesn't every business have a website?" No. In fact, the stats, like this is known from a official government survey that one out of every four small business in America still does not have a website today, which is enormous. That is a huge number of businesses who don't have a website. They're in desperate need of one. They don't have one because either they think it's too expensive, it's just a big hassle. They don't want to have to figure it out themselves. Or just the technology in general is just too overwhelming for them. So, they're hustling out there, getting their business and making money anyway, despite the fact that in today's world, if you don't have a website, it's like you don't exist. And still one of every four businesses are in that situation. So what we've done is we've empowered you for a way to easily find those businesses, get them their website, and then it's a quick solution, which we're going to cover about how you can, without selling, without crush selling, no high pressure, none of that stuff, how do you get these lay-down deals. And then you get the $299 bucks a pop by just being the one to facilitate that deal.
[00:09:35] And Colin, I'll put you on the spot next. You started this a few months back using this exact, you know, I keep wanting, keep calling it a sales strategy, but it's like the "un-sales" strategy. Yeah, if you could talk just a little bit about what that experience has been like, you know, do you have a big background in sales? Are you a crush salesman, and how that's gone for you?
[00:09:56] Collin: Yeah, so yeah, no, I'm not a salesperson at all. This has kind of made me a salesperson, but not really. Like you said, it's results in advance. We're building these ahead of time, and then we're going into these businesses and showing them, and it sells itself automatically almost. There'll be people that are a little bit off on the price, and I think that's really where this consultant thing comes into, is the people for me that don't love the price of the other thing, and then I show them this, they're like, "Oh, that's doable, I can do the $299."
[00:10:25] Bill: Well, and just for clarity, I'm going to sidetrack us for a second, just to bring everybody who's watching up to speed. What Colin's been selling are much higher ticket packages. So he'll go to a company and say, "I built you a website. Do you want it?" And what do you charge for that when you do that as an agency?
[00:10:43] Collin: Originally, the first couple I did were like $750, but now I'm up to the point where we charge like $1250 to $1,600 just for a website. And Buildy's gotten pretty impressive design-wise too, so people don't really hesitate.
[00:10:59] Bill: So now with this Consultant Program, they're getting a similar website. In fact technically it's exactly the same kind of a website, and they can get it for $ 299 bucks and $99 a month. So, yeah, that should be a much simpler "yes" to get from the business, right?
[00:11:16] Collin: Definitely. Yeah. I mean, It was at first, it was like a 20, 30% thing, but now it's like your nose is to the pavement. You're out there every day and you're trying to make sales, and it gets hard with the high ticket, but with this model, it's hard for them to say no when Buildy's output is so impressive.
[00:11:35] Bill: Yeah. And that's the "starving crowd," right? They know they need a website, you know? It's just the, how to get one has been outside their reach, whether it's because of, again, tech frustrations, or they keep wanting to do it themselves to save some money, so they keep putting it off, or they know if they're going to go out and hire an agency, it's going to cost them thousands of dollars to get a website. So, we are the solution to that starving need that the business has. And so for everyone watching, you will locate businesses who have a definite need for a website. You will use the Buildy platform to give them a website in advance, and then we collect the payment, by the way, so we handle all payment processing. There's an onboarding process which we're going to show you the whole flow of how it works. We handle everything for you. They'll pay, and then the site will be transferred into their Buildy account, and then you as the consultant will get 100% of month one and the setup fee. So that's $299 in commission in your pocket for every deal you make. Which by the way, there is one other magic number on 299. Do you remember that one, Russell? The big number.
[00:12:48] No?
[00:12:49] Russell: No, I'm, I'm drawing a blank for some reason, but I'm-
[00:12:51] Bill: Okay. I like this one. This is a... I like this one because-
[00:12:54] Russell: Oh, yeah ...
[00:12:55] Bill: if you, if you get one deal a day, what do you get?
[00:12:58] Russell: Six figures a year in revenue.
[00:13:00] Bill: There you go. So yeah all... If you guys close, again, no income promises. I'm not saying that there's any typical results. But if, and only if, for the sake of using a calculator, just getting one deal a day to come in, So we'll do 299 times a year. That is the number. And again, it's not an income claim. I'm not promising anyone will get results like that. But that's what the math works out to be. So if someone wanted to put a full-time effort in, I personally believe that that is achievable. Regardless of your sales ability, if you've never sold before, you're will- if you want to put a full-time effort in, that's the kind of income that I think you could make, or perhaps more.
[00:13:52] And I want to quickly toss it to the guys. Maybe first I'll put it on Colin. I'm just going to keep ambushing you guys with surprise questions. Sorry. How doable do you think that is? Am I being a bit too aggressive there thinking that it's possible to do a deal a day?
[00:14:07] Collin: No, it's definitely possible. And if this is the thing you're doing, like even if it's part-time, if you get out of work and you go to places and you just... Like for me, I know I have a list. I take like a day a week and I write down businesses that don't have websites, and then we'll go out and pitch them, me and the guys that I have pitching with me. And then usually we can close one. It's a little harder with the higher price point, but with this I have a feeling it's going to be more than one a day. It's going to be pretty crazy.
[00:14:39] Bill: Yeah, exactly. Yeah, that's what I think. And so, Jay, I'll put you on the spot. You've done marketing consulting and, and this kind of work. At $299 price point, how realistic do you think it is to do a deal a day?
[00:14:51] Jay: I think it's very realistic. I mean, so the price of websites over time has gone down, but when I was selling them back a few years ago yeah, I was charging a minimum of $1,500 set up, and then anywhere from 500 to $1,000 a month for continuing to support their website. So yeah, $ 299 is a very simple sale, I think, in this respect, especially when instead of what I had to do, I had to go in and convince them I could do it for them. All you have to do is show them the website that you already built for them, and then you could sell it to them and maybe do some tweaks on it before you hand it over to them. But yeah, it feels a bit like shooting fish in a barrel in that respect.
[00:15:29] Bill: And then one other aspect of this that I haven't touched on yet is not only does the client get the website, they get all of the tools in Buildy. So they actually get all of the social media marketing tools, advertising tools, blogging tools. It's a complete marketing tool suite that handles all that for the client. So that $99 a month doesn't just cover the website, but all of those tools that once you land the client and hand it over, we'll teach them how to use those tools, and they'll continue to get value from that as well. So that's part of what they get on top of that. And then finally, Russell, I know you've also had some really good success selling to local business. And especially when you start rolling in the marketing services into this, in the past when you were doing it, what would you sell something like that for if it was like a full bundle of tools plus a website like this?
[00:16:19] Russell: Wow. I mean, the least I ever sold it for, and this was almost, I mean, 15, 20 years ago, a lot of them, was like 3 to 5K. And I had a mortgage company that I did business with and they also owned a credit union, and ended up doing like $55,000 just from that one client. And that's a case study that I talk about in another one of our programs, and I talk about how to do that. But yeah, I mean, it's, it's very high value once you are able to bridge into those kind of services. And what I would say, you know, just to, to piggyback on what everybody said about, you know, it's very appealing, that price point, the $299, because even now, if you use AI and do some research and I started doing research about what people pay for websites in larger metropolitan cities like Denver because that's where my other son lives. And so we were looking at that, and people pay a lot of money for websites. And the biggest advantage that AI has given us is margin. Now, it used to be when I would sell stuff, I would lose 30% of my profit margin day zero because I had to hire a web developer because I'm a writer and so that's my creative avenue. I'm not a designer. And so that's what AI has really bridged the gap with. And with a tool like Buildy you're no longer losing that margin.
[00:17:46] So the only thing that's limiting you is... and there's nothing really limiting you, right? It's just have the knowledge to know what could get in my way of getting one deal a day. It's just doing the research ahead of time and knowing who needs the service, like Bill said, and then just turn it into a system and whether it's using AI to go out and get the leads and then reach out to people or doing the reach out yourself. You know, just figuring out how many messages do I need to send a day?
[00:18:14] Bill: That's a really good point too, is really focus on this idea of the "starving crowd." Deliver an awesome product to people who desperately need it, and I think that's part of don't overcomplicate it. Don't add things to it. Don't change it. Just do the simple process that sells exactly what people need to the exact people who need it, right?
[00:18:36] Russell: Mm-hmm.
[00:18:39] Bill: Okay, awesome. Well, I, I want to dive in a little bit more too and zero in on getting into the specifics of how the program works, okay? So I will be showing the user interface, I'll walk everybody through the steps in a minute. But I, I want to cover it from a high-level overview at first. So step one, you're going to go out, you're going to find a business who needs a website. That could be a local bricks-and-mortar business. It could be somebody who wants to start a new online business, it could be anyone who needs a website. That's the clear need you have to find first. You then reach out to them, and either you build the site for them in advance, or you offer to build it for them. Say, "Hey, I noticed you don't have a website. I'd like to build one for you, and I'll do it no charge upfront. I'll build it, I'll show it to you, and if you like it, great. If you don't, that's cool too." That's one path. The other path is you just build it ahead of time, and I'm going to show you how you can do that with Buildy. It takes three minutes to build a site in advance for a business, and you can just go straight to them and say, "Hey, I already built your website. I saw you needed one, so I wanted to help you with that. I built it. Can I show it to you?" Right? That's the thing. You just want to get the yes that you, be able to show them the website that you already built for them, that's the big trick.
[00:19:57] And then you'll go through the process that we'll show you in a minute, and I'll show you step by step how you go through. Your client signs up for Buildy and there's a whole flow. It's all controlled, so all you have to do is give them one single link. You give the client a link. The whole process is controlled on our side. The client signs up for a Buildy account. They'll review the website if they have revisions that they want to request.
[00:20:22] So let's say they want to make some changes before they're ready to accept it. You go through the revision process with the client. And then once it's ready, the client inside their dashboard hits a button, accepts it, and it takes that project and puts it into their Buildy account. So that's the process, and then their website lives in their account, and they are now a Buildy customer. We take over support from there. So once you've done that, it's like we're running a relay. You're handing the baton to us. We take the client and get them going. And now we have a small business client, and then we pay you the $299 commission all upfront.
[00:21:03] Now, the pricing how it works, the entire thing is not variable, it's not editable, it's not customizable. It's just a simple flow that you put them through. So everyone pays the same amount, which is $299 at the beginning. They all will make a Buildy account, and then we take over and handle support once you have finished the website and the client has accepted it. That's how that flow works. And so that's our Consultant Program. We will pay out once a month for any commissions that you have earned through the month. If you are a high performer and you're making lots of deals, we can negotiate to pay you more frequently. Just realize if you close two or three deals, that's not enough. You're going to have to be consistently closing a higher volume of deals, and if you do, you can reach out to us, and we can arrange to pay you more frequently. The more you're selling, the more frequently we're going to be willing to pay you. We could do up to weekly depending upon, again, how many deals you're giving us. The standard right out of the gate for everyone is paid monthly for the previous month's deals. And then the money is sent to you, and you just keep putting people in the machine, you know? We built it so that it's a repeatable, simple, easy machine. You just follow the instructions. You put people in one side and out the other side comes money, right? That's the idea.
[00:22:25] And so let me see here on my notes what else. Oh, I need to explain the differences between this and what we've called our Partner Program or our Agency Program. I notice some people in here are wanting to deliver more services, or they want the ability to charge higher prices. Those kinds of things, that's our agency program. And so, I'll talk in a few minutes if it's something that you are interested in. You can chat with somebody on our team. That is a more premium program. There is a fee associated with it. So. The current program that we're talking about today is a lower price program that's easier to use, much more simple. That program gives you a lot of options. You can have your own clients. You sell your own clients. They're your customers. They're not Buildy customers, and you can charge higher ticket prices. Like you heard the guys talking about charging more money, you know, $750, $1,250, $3,000. If you want to charge higher ticket prices and you want to keep the client yourself, then you will need to become an Agency or a Partner. So we'll share that link with you if you are interested in chatting with someone on the team about that. In fact, I guess in this environment, I can share the link. Normally, I don't have the chat available to me, so here I do. So I'll pop this into the chat, and then Jay, when we post this video, put a link on the page somewhere, but I'll just pop it in there. So this program will do just fine for you. It'll do exactly what we said and everything and more. But if you do want to consider upgrading into an Agency plan, that's where you can talk to a member of the team to go check it out.
[00:24:02] Okay, cool. Now I do want to focus... One other thing that I want to zero in in before I go and show you how to actually do this, is our "results in advance" method. And we've kinda already covered it pretty well in detail. We have some written training for and I think also some video training, right, Jay, that covers this strategy?
[00:24:26] Jay: Yeah, that's correct. On the page in the Buildy Docs Center, there's already a training for the "results in advance" approach.
[00:24:32] Bill: Cool. So you can reference that for a lot more details of this. But the "results in advance" is what Colin has been doing. And while he's been selling much higher ticket and higher priced products, he's doing this exact thing, where he's building a website in advance without charging the client anything, and then offering to show it to them, and then getting them to pay for it. So, Colin, I'll put you on the spot and, and maybe you want to talk just high level what that's like and what people's expectations should be.
[00:25:03] Collin: Yeah. So, and like I said in the beginning, I'm not a salesperson. I've tried doing door-to-door sales before, did not go well. I was, I was selling signs actually, billboards. Oh. Trying to. And did not work for me, didn't get one sale. I quit that after, like, two months. And then so I started doing this, the results in advance. And basically what you'll do is you'll use the tool, you'll look for... so, basically he's going to show you the process, but that's what I use. I'll use the process. It does give you leads. Like, you can look up in a certain area, whatever type of business you want, you hit enter, and it'll give you, like, a list of 10 different places around you with no website. And then you'll click it, and you'll go through that, and you'll build the websites really fast. If you haven't used Buildy yet, you're in for a treat already. But that's the first part, and that's fast. I do that, I'll go places and I'll sit in their driveway, like, their drive-through or whatever, and I'll, I'll build it. Like, off of a hotspot, and then I'll walk in and pitch it to them. Like, that's how easy it is. But once it's built, you go in, you talk to the people, you show them the website. It's as simple as that. You walk in, "Hey I built you something. I just wanted you to take a look at it real quick." And then you'll turn it around and show it to them, and usually it's impressive enough to sell them, especially when the price point's $299. And I know I see a lot of people in the chat saying like, "Well, why couldn't we just sell it for more?" You can, but the sale a day thing is a lot harder to do when you're selling your price, like the, when the price point-
[00:26:34] Bill: Well, and just to clarify that too, you can if you're an Agency or a Partner, right? But the only people that are authorized and licensed to resell Buildy as their own clients is somebody on one of those programs. So just want to make sure that's super clear for everybody.
[00:26:49] Collin: Yeah, but the process itself is awesome, and it makes selling easy, and it's almost just like that you're talking to someone, you're chatting with someone about their business and their website, and it drops a barrier because you're going in without... let's say you're going without a website for them, and you're just saying, "Hey, I build websites. Here's a card." You think someone hasn't done that before? Like, yeah, you think someone hasn't came in and gave them a card or gave them their website and say, "Hey, I build websites." Where is the trust, if that makes sense? There's no trust there. They don't know what you do. Like, you're just telling them you build websites. They could look like crap. This is... In this way, you're showing them In short, the results in advance. Like, "Hey, this is what I build, this is how I do it. Here you go."
[00:27:33] So no, it's great, and the $299 price point is actually really awesome. And something I wanted to say as well, like, if you also get into BAPP and you want to use BAPP, like that's awesome, and I think you should, but I also think this program's really important, almost using them in tandem. So like when I go out and someone's iffy about the price because it's a little steep for them, then I can say, "Hey, we also have this." So if you have BAPP and this, then it's like a, a double whammy almost. Like-
[00:28:01] Bill: Oh, I hadn't thought about that ... oh, yeah So if someone's already in our Partner Program, these two can go together. I like that. Yeah.
[00:28:07] Collin: Yeah. It's powerful because as soon as you say, "Hey, we also have this option, there's a little bit a month, but then you also get these marketing tools, and it's only this much up front," that'll drop another barrier, and people are like, "Oh, it's an accessible price as well." So it's powerful.
[00:28:24] Bill: Yeah, and one thing I want to clarify too, I see a question in the chat too from Wesley I think it's important to address. You don't have to do this door to door, knocking on doors if you don't want to. So I know one of the things that we're working with Colin on doing is switching the model up so that you can go in door to door, and that's probably the highest close rate you will get is going to be door to door, but you don't have to do that. You could do this on Zoom or any other platform. You could even get on the phone and just text someone the link and say, "Click the link and go look at the website." There's a lot of ways to do it. You don't have to do it face to face. Again, although face to face will have the highest conversion rates, the others work well as well. So you can reach out to people by email, by phone, by text. You just need to get them to say yes to wanting to look at the website. Ideally, you're either on Zoom or on the phone with the client while they're looking at the website. I think that's an important thing. Wouldn't you agree, Colin, to capture the magic, like, while they're watching it, to have you on the phone?
[00:29:28] Collin: Yeah, it's definitely important, and then just to hear their reaction. Almost just give them a second to take it all in and like, "Oh wow, this is cool." I haven't had a bad reaction to a website yet. Even if they didn't buy, they're like, "Wow, I could really use that. I just don't have the funds right now." And that's where, like I said, this also comes in for that. Like, now I can make at this price point and it feels good to do it.
[00:29:51] Bill: Cool. So then with that, I know we have a lot of more in-depth training for people to go consume and, and learn how to do the process, but that's it at a high level. You give them results in advance by building a website without charging them ahead of time. You either tell them you built it or you offer to build it for them to let them see it at no charge. And then while you're either in front of them, you're on Zoom with them, or you're on the phone with them, you send them the link, which I'm going to show you exactly step by step how to do that in a moment.
[00:30:22] And then you get them to say "yes." And then a quick thing too, I saw a question here to clarify this. The client does pay $299 right out of the gate to accept their website, and that covers the setup fee and the first month's Buildy subscription. And you get all of that, so you'll get 100% of that. And I saw someone saying, "Well, if the client needs revisions, aren't we charging too cheap?" No. Revisions are like, they could take you 30 seconds to do revisions. Actually, I'll ask Colin, because Colin, you've been doing this with clients. So how often do clients want revisions, and how much time does that usually take?
[00:30:58] Collin: Not often. I have one client that likes revisions, and they, usually it's like add a picture. It's a detailing shop, so I add a picture here and there and- Literally, like I throw the picture in. The hardest part is getting them to send me the picture. Other than that, like Buildy makes it so fast. It's instant.
[00:31:17] Bill: Yeah. So, and I'll show you guys how to do that too. So I'll show you, number one, how to go find a client, how to build the website in advance, how to deliver it to the client how to do revisions, and we're going to walk through all of that right now. Unless Jay, should we do any other Q&A before I dive in and,
[00:31:36] Jay: Well, there's a couple people who are asking about the this dashboard you're looking at right here. Like, how do they get to that?
[00:31:42] Bill: Yeah, so if you go to Buildy.ai/consultant/dashboard, that's the hard way. The other way is you log into your Buildy account, and you should see this box on your homepage that says Buildy AI Consultant. So just log in, you must be logged into an account that has the Consultant Program in order to see this, and this whole section here is where you can get access to "Find a Business," which I'm going to show you in a second, and then the dashboard, which gives you all your stats currently of how many projects you've built, how many links you've sent to clients, how many are waiting for approval, how many are approved, and how much money you've made. So that's all there. And then this explains the process. And I know the screen is a little bit small, but it's hard to fit all of this on the broadcast. So let me see if I do that. That should make it simple. So these are the steps, and these are how you get paid. You build the site You share a link. So it's a link that they can go use to go look at the website. It's only one link. Your client will keep using that same link to log in and do revisions, to log in and set up their Buildy account, to finally at the end to accept the design that you've done, and it'll get pulled into their account. You just have one single link to share with a client that controls the whole process, okay?
[00:33:10] So they sign up and pay. So we take care of all the billing, account creation, all of that stuff. Again, they approve it, so we have a record that they have approved the site. The site automatically gets transferred from your Buildy account, the project will get created in your account while you're working on it, and then the minute the client accepts it and approves of all the revisions, it's like it gets vacuumed out of your account and inserted into the client's account, and away they go. That's how that process works.
[00:33:43] Yeah, I actually think I like the second site better. What do you guys think?
[00:33:48] Collin: Yeah. I like it.
[00:33:50] Jay: Yeah. Looks good.
[00:33:51] Collin: I like the picture better too. It's good.
[00:33:53] Bill: Although she looks very short, but yeah, you know, I think I like this one better. Yeah. Cool. Okay, so what I'm going to do is I will do a new demonstration, and I will try not to mess it up. So let me just make sure I don't have an incognito window opened anywhere that's going to interfere with this, because what I'm about to simulate is what happens when you send the brand-new link to the client who has never been to Buildy before. So it will simulate that experience. All right. So now so we as the consultant are happy with what we've built for the client, and we're ready to share it with them. So we're going to click "Publish and Share." We're going to click "Send to Client." Again, this link only exists in a project that was made through the Consultant Program, otherwise it will not exist. So we click "Send Link," "Confirm" and generate it. There's our link that we can send to our client, so we're going to copy that. Now, if the client is non-cooperative or you decide you don't want to do business with them, they're asking for too much, they're too difficult to work with, you don't like them, whatever, you decide you don't want to work with them, just deactivate your claim link and move on.
[00:35:27] But let's say we do want to work with this client. So I'm going to copy that link, and what I'm going to do, is I'm going to simulate what the client will see. So I'm going to quickly adjust this window to make room. Okay, so I'm going to make a new incognito window and I'm doing this just so I can show you what the client will see on their side. Okay? So on the left side, we have your window of what you see working with the client, and on the right side, we'll paste it in here, this is what the client sees. So when they come to this website, they see a little screenshot of the site you built for them. And there's a link here that says "View Live Site." So they can click that, it will open the full site in a window that they can navigate through, check it out, see what they think about it. But this is the process that they will go through. And what they will do first, is to create their Buildy account. So they will need a Buildy account in order to accept this website and work with us. So I'm going to put in here real quick. I'll just call it Fake Plumber. Fake Plumber
[00:36:51] Okay, we'll give it a... Here, I'm just going to make the password be this. You know, add some letters and numbers. Phone number, we'll go... Yeah, and then they would click "Create Account." So remember, this is the experience that your clients will go through. So they will click "Create Account." It's going to confirm the terms of the arrangement, so be ready to, make sure you explain this to them and walk them through this. Ideally, they do this process with you while you're on the phone or you're on Zoom. That's the best time to have them do this. It explains that they get two rounds of revisions, so they can ask for two sets of changes before it's locked in. So it clarifies that, and they are accepting these terms, okay?
[00:37:41] It also explains that they get a whole suite of AI marketing tools that comes along with their $99 a month fee, okay? And it shows that there is a $200 setup fee. 200 bucks to build out a whole website for them is a pretty darn good deal. So they're going to click "Pay Now," they're going to check out and, well, right now I'm on a test account, so we're just going to use a test credit card, and I'll show you what this looks like. So let me just put that in here real quick. There we go. I think that's it. Again, this is a test credit card that I'm putting in to test with. Say the card holder is Fake Plumber. And we'll say he's in Las Vegas. And then "Subscribe." And then what he's going to pay is, you can see again, it's what the setup fee is $200 plus $99 a month He's going to hit Subscribe and he's going to pay. Boom.
[00:39:11] Now, here's the step where he gets to do revisions with you. He must pay first. We don't want them wasting your time with endless revisions without having paid first. So if they're like, "Love the site, I just need you to do two things," just tell them, "Awesome. Set up your account and it'll unlock our admin panel, where we can work together on revisions, and I'll make the site exactly what you want." So they pay, they sign up, you now know they're serious, and here is where they can request revisions. That happens right here. So that they say "Request Revisions," they can send you the revisions. Buildy will email you anytime a client asks for revisions, and it will send a link to the project, and it'll tell you exactly what revisions the client asked for. Now remember, they get two rounds of revisions, and then they can't ask for any more after that.
[00:40:05] And then here, this is the important part. "Ready to make it yours?" They click "I Accept the Terms," and then they click "Approve & Claim My Website." Okay? I'm not going to click that at the moment, but what this does is it then takes the whole project and moves it into the client's account, and they then have control over it from that point forward. Once you have done that, you can no longer make changes to their site. I want to make sure that's super clear. The site at this point, the minute they accept it and it gets pulled into their account, any changes or revisions have to happen inside their client account, not yours. So you get to control and edit and polish and improve all the way up to the moment they click this button, and from there forward, it's theirs. They're responsible for the changes. They can work with our support team. Our team is going to reach out and onboard them anyway, make sure that they understand this, but they will work with Buildy, and they will be self-service from that point forward. Okay? And so yeah, it's any changes that they want to make, they do, and you no longer have access to change their website for them once it's been moved into their account.
[00:41:30] And that is the process of what the client sees and what you see on your side to make a complete deal. And then let's go real quick here to our Project Dashboard. So now in this account, you can see I have created three projects. I've sent three links. Two of them are waiting for approval but none of them have been approved yet. And then down here it shows you each of the projects, and with one click you can get right into that project. So let's say you're working with Fair Deal Plumbing and they ask for some revisions. Well, we can just click that link right there and it's going to go and open straight up into the project for you to do your revisions and continue working with the client. And there we go. That's the process.
Video Transcript (Click here to view)
[00:00:00] Bill: And and so let's do this. Let's build a site together. So I'm going to take us off screen so that we can have a full screen here. I'll have to zoom out a little bit because when I zoom in too much, it's really hard to work with.[00:00:15] Jay: You know, Bill, before we jump into that, there are some general questions that would be good to answer in the chat that are coming through.
[00:00:20] Bill: Oh, yeah, we can do a round here. I'll- then I'll bring us back on- and yeah, let's go ahead. Answer some questions real quick, and then I will do the demo.
[00:00:28] Jay: Okay. Phil's asking, "I already have a Buildy Pro account. I assume I can use that account?"
[00:00:35] Bill: Well, you use your Buildy account and you must have gotten the upgrade to be a Consultant. But yes, it does work through your Buildy account and it must have the upgrade to be a Consultant.
[00:00:47] Jay: Right. Yeah. Okay. Here's one question that people might have too is what level of account do the clients have to sign up for?
[00:00:54] Bill: They will have a Pro account. Yeah, the $99 a month covers a Pro account. And we'll go over here and I'll show you real quick all the stuff, because this is a selling point that you can make with this, is that they get all of the stuff that you see here on the Pro level plan. So, they will have access to make text agents, voice agents, ads, blogging and content, search engine optimization, which you can, you'll be turning that part on for them. Email, social media, all of these things will be included in what they get.
[00:01:28] Jay: So there's a question about "can we do the revisions and then charge them for our time?"
[00:01:35] Bill: Currently it's built into the platform for them to get three revisions at no cost. And then we don't have any way for you to charge them through our system. It's just this one deal is all they get.
[00:01:48] Jay: Yeah. Okay. So three, three rounds of revisions?
[00:01:50] Bill: Three rounds of revisions are included and the revisions are incredibly easy to do. Yeah. So you'll see in a moment. You're not going to spend like hours doing revisions. You'll spend minutes. Yeah.
[00:02:00] Jay: No, it's simple, generally speaking. Well, Derek's asking "If they say they don't want it and we delete it can we claim the credits back that we used to build it?"
[00:02:11] Bill: No.
[00:02:12] Jay: Okay. So, "Can we sell nationwide through emails?"
[00:02:20] Bill: Yes, but I would highly recommend that you be on the phone or on a Zoom call with them when they look at your website. If you want to succeed, then I would recommend that. And again, this is not high pressure sales. You don't need to be like some kind of sales ninja to make this work. You just gotta show them the website. The website will do all the talking for you, and then either they want it or they don't. Really simple.
[00:02:43] Jay: Yeah. And then there's a question about "once you sell the client the website, you are out of the loop, correct? The client deals with solely with the Buildy team after that."
[00:02:54] Bill: That's right, yeah. Once the site is transferred to the client, then we pick up and handle all support.
[00:02:59] Jay: Okay. And then, "does it include the AI phone?" So I think they're talking about the voice agent and a phone.
[00:03:06] Bill: You cannot build voice agents for them ahead of time. The client can later build their own voice agents with our help, but it's not part of this process.
[00:03:16] Jay: Okay. Great, yeah. And I think one thing people is to realize that this is really designed to be a volume business, right? And what I mean by that is like selling volume, right? Yeah. So the sales that you can make because of the price point, and you want to just essentially find clients, show them the results in advance so they want to buy it right away, and then and then just, yeah,
[00:03:35] Bill: yeah, this is kinda like a super affiliate program really. Like it's really for like more hands-on affiliate marketing is essentially what it is. You're getting a 100% commission. It is intended to be like not that you're going to spend hours trying to do extensive work for a client as an agency. If you want to do that, then definitely talk to our team about an agency plan and upgrade to Agency. But this is quick volume, like you said, it's volume work that you don't going to spend a bunch of time working with clients.
[00:04:04] Jay: Yeah. Okay, so then there was another question about does the 25% affiliate commission apply to this?
[00:04:12] Bill: No. So this is the 100% commission.
[00:04:14] This is a whole different deal.
[00:04:16] Jay: Great. And so, is there an ongoing commission?
[00:04:18] Bill: No, it's 100% of month one.
[00:04:21] Jay: 100% of month one. Okay, so that's all it is. Yeah. Very good. So you're getting the $299 immediately, right?
[00:04:26] Bill: Yeah, exactly. Yeah, you get all that up front, and then it's up to me to retain the customer starting from month two on, yeah.
[00:04:33] Jay: Okay. Wesley's saying, "Can't we do all of that now with the pro account?"
[00:04:39] Bill: No. You cannot do anything for client accounts with a Pro account. Pro is only for you, businesses that are, that you're running, operating, or are a partner in.
[00:04:52] Jay: All right.
[00:04:53] Collin: I think that's maybe where people are getting confused as well. You're not running their business this way for them, because I have clients right now that I am running all their stuff for them, like their marketing and everything. But with this, you don't have to do that, so you're not tied down to a bunch of clients. Because then there, it'll get to a point where, let's say you, you really go hard on this and you do it, not on, not on the consultant thing, but if you want to like have a bunch of clients and you do it that way, then it will get to a number where you can't handle it anymore, and then you're not making any extra money.
[00:05:24] You're just stuck dealing with clients that paid you months ago, a year ago. This way, you're able to stack up a ton, and that was kind of- Yes, and
[00:05:32] Bill: I think- ...
[00:05:32] Collin: what
[00:05:33] Bill: the master list did ... one thing I want to jump in jump into here to cut you off real quick Colin, too, I think there's some confusion happening between our Agency Partner Program and this, and they're two completely distinct things. That's why I want to make sure that's super clear to everyone. I think some people here might even own both of them. But they are two completely different programs, completely different purposes, and the Consultant Program is for, like Jay said, high volume, big commissions. The Agency Program, which is also called our Partner Program, is what Colin is doing and what he's talking about, where he's charging them higher ticket fees to be much more hands-on, high touch, even helping them on an ongoing basis and making more money. But it takes a lot more hands-on "people work" and client work to do that. But they're two totally different programs, and I saw people also confused about the voice agents, saying they saw something where you can do voice agents. That is the Partner Program. So, if you're in our Partner Agency Program, you can do voice agents you can do lead generation, you can do marketing, you can do apps, you can build all kinds of things for your clients, but that is a different program than this one.
[00:06:43] Jay: Mmm, okay. Yeah. And then Eric was saying, "Yeah, but they could just join Buildy for 99 and make their own website."
[00:06:51] Bill: They could, and they'll never, ever, ever, ever do that. That's, that's why they don't have a website right now.
[00:06:58] Collin: Yeah.
[00:06:59] Bill: Right? And I want to point that out. You are providing... Even though it's very simple for you to use Buildy and click a couple of buttons and I'm giving you a special tool that they don't have access to. If they go buy Pro, they won't have access to the same tool that makes it as easy as you have. They're going to have to, by hand, go tell Buildy all about their business. They're going to have to go tell Buildy about their hours, their reviews, pictures from their business, and they're going to have to do all of that and assemble that website. Now, it's going to be easier than any other way, sure, and they could do it themselves, but 200 bucks to save, gosh, who knows how many hours and hours of work that that could be if they had to go do it themselves, and then they gotta go learn how to use Buildy, they're going to have to probably work with our support team before they're happy. Like, you're giving them a tremendous amount of value in that $200. So it's absolutely worth it. They're getting a lot of value for it. But could they do it themselves? Sure. But they're not going to be upset by that.
[00:08:09] Jay: Right. Part of it is if you already do it for them, then once they jump in and start using it themselves, at least some of the hard part's already done, right? So it's already built.
[00:08:20] Collin: Yeah. Yeah, and they're not really thinking about that either. I feel like they're just... they own a small business. They're busy. They're grinding every day because they own a small business. Like, they're worried about having a website because it'll get them more reach, but they're not worried about building it themselves. It's too much time for them to take away from their business, because they'll lose money that way, too. So you're saving them time, which in return saves them money. So that's the way you gotta think of it. They're not going to get upset for you saving them money, because someone else could have came in and built them a website and charged them thousands of dollars, and you were nice and charged them 299, you know?
[00:08:51] Jay: Exactly. Okay. So yeah, there's a question about if somebody has a Buildy Pro annual plan, they don't need to pay extra for this, right? I mean, they don't need to pay the extra monthly for this.
[00:09:04] Bill: Yeah, all you need is a Buildy plan and then this upgrade that was, I don't even remember what, I think at the moment it's a lower price. We're going to raise the price later, so I won't even say the price on video. But yeah, everybody here paid an extra price. Those who got in first are going to get the best deal. People later will pay more. But you paid, a price to get this add-on, and so you need the add-on and you need a Buildy account, that's the two things that you need.
[00:09:30] Jay: Okay. So when they sign up for that and they already have a Pro annual account, then I guess they just need to communicate that-
[00:09:39] Bill: Yeah, then reach out to support. If you've already got an annual plan, reach out to support. Let them know so that you don't end up double paying for Buildy. Yeah.
[00:09:47] Jay: All right. Let's see. Yeah, well, this is a valid question. "What if they want major revisions?"
[00:09:56] Bill: Well, when you say "major revisions" I mean, it's hard for me to explain what that is. You're not going to make new functionality, . i'll show you how easy it is, before we get down the rabbit hole of revisions, why don't I just show everyone during the demo how easy it is. I think that'll just put everyone's mind at ease.
[00:10:13] Jay: Okay. Well, I think we've covered a lot of questions right now, so, you can keep popping your questions in, but I think a lot's been answered- ... right now.
[00:10:20] Bill: Yeah. Excuse me. Bless you. All right, cool. Yeah, now, as I mentioned, if you go to the Buildy homepage when you're logged in, you'll see this box. This box is added to your account when you have the add-on for the Buildy Consultant Program. And you can always access your dashboard with the Dashboard button that you just saw me looking at. This is where you can see, like, all of your clients and your stats and history. But if have a new possible client, you come over here to Find a Business, and you click it. You can also get to this page by the dashboard. So I'll show you that. So if you're on your dashboard, this "Build a Website" button takes you to the same place.
[00:11:04] And here's where we get started. So this is where you're going to prospect and look for clients. Okay? If you don't already know a business like... if you come to this page and you already know the business that you're going to be building for, you click this button that says "Enter Business Manually." See that button there? So you would click that, and then you answer all the data here about the business. Which is the name of the business, the type of business, any social links that you have, their Google Maps listing, a Better Business Bureau page, their Instagram, their Yelp, Facebook page. Any of these that you have for the client, enter them in. Also, if you have images for the client, like I know Colin has done that, taken like local shots with the... Right on your phone, right, Colin? You just shoot bit- pictures of the business and upload them here.
[00:11:56] Collin: Yep, exactly. And you can make them pay extra for that. If you do the agency plan, that is.
[00:12:03] Bill: There you go. And then here, you just put any other additional information that you or the client wants on the website. Once you've filled that out, you hit "Create Website." Okay? So this is path number one. So I'm going to show you the path that most people use when you're prospecting. If you don't have a client or a prospect and you're looking for one, you start here. And so I'm going to do this. I always do the same demo, so I might as well do it again here. So one thing I want to point out when you put in the location, you should wait for the little spinny thing to come up and make sure you click on it here. I've seen people get confused about that and not realize you have to actually click this right here in that dropdown. Okay? Now right here is a toggle. We can turn it off or on to "only show businesses who don't currently have a website." I highly recommend that's what you do. You toggle that on, and you only search for people who don't have a website. You can learn more about how that works by hovering over this, but what we're doing is we're searching Google Maps, and we're looking for people who have a Google Maps listing, but they do not have a website shown in Maps. Also, under "Advanced", you can change to how many results that you want to see on a page. But once you've done that, you hit "Search Businesses". And now it is going out, and the businesses will appear here once it's done doing its searching. And that will take a minute here. Here we go. Now here is the businesses that it found. And so for the demo today, I want to find one that's got a lot of reviews. That tends to help Buildy do a good job. Yeah, they've got a good number of reviews. So I'm just going to pick this one. So I'm going to click build a website, and this looks very similar to the form I showed you when you're doing it by hand, right? This one just pre-fills all the information. Pre-fills the name of the business, it pre-fills their Google Maps for social. You could, if you wanted to, add more information. Optional. You totally don't have to. Just with the Google Maps listing, Buildy, like 99% of the time, will build an amazing website with just that one piece of data. But you can still add images, other links, other socials, you can manually type other info about the business that you want to have included. But most the time you can just go right down here and click "Create Website Project."
[00:14:51] Jay: And Bill, just if I can weigh in for a second on that too, it is a good idea to verify that the business does not have a website before you build one for them. Sometimes they do, but it's just for whatever reason, it's not like in their Google Maps listing or easily findable by the scraping tool. So it's a good idea to go ahead and check. And basically the easiest way to do that is just a Google search on the business name in the city it's in and see what happens and see if you find a website.
[00:15:16] Bill: Yeah, well Google for them anyway and still offer to them.
[00:15:18] Jay: Yeah. I was going to say the other thing you might find is that they have a crappy website and so you can build them a better one and offer it to them. That's another way.
[00:15:24] Bill: Yeah, but that is possible. That is true. So it is possible that for one reason or another, a client did not add their website to Google Maps. So that does happen for sure.
[00:15:36] Collin: And I've noticed with some, like, physicians in my area at least, because we have a Henry Ford and all the branches of Henry Ford, there are doctors that are separate, but they have a website through Henry Ford and it doesn't pop that up usually. So it's good to check for things like that as well.
[00:15:54] Bill: And so we'll let it do its thing here. And while it's doing that, I'm going to, I'm going to pop the three of us on chat again here real quick, because I want to quickly talk about another strategy that I'm going to recommend. We'll call it a bonus strategy. So while we wait, I'll fill up the time. I would recommend that you look for new businesses as well. So this is something that we haven't really talked about much, but I think is a great place to go. And anytime you see a new business in your local area, they need a website immediately. If you see a business that's under construction or renovation, maybe there's a restaurant that they're, repurposing the restaurant. Get on that early and reach out to those businesses around you. That's one way to do it. Also there are lists available online. They do cost money, where you can get a list of recently started businesses. So you can Google that. I don't have a particular resource to recommend, but there's a lot of data brokers who can sell lists of brand new businesses. And Colin, I know that's something you just started experimenting with, right?
[00:16:59] Collin: Yeah, we haven't done it too much, but see a couple pop up here and there, and I think the good thing to realize is these people are active. They have a budget because they just bought a place, and they're actively looking for someone to fill that hole for them. So, yeah, it's definitely something to look at.
[00:17:20] Bill: Awesome. Awesome. So if you can find businesses that, Oh, that's a pretty good looking site. Okay. So the site's come up, but I'll, So to, to finish that thought before we bring the the preview up so I would recommend that that is a secondary way that you can do this results and advance strategy. Because remember, you want to sell to somebody who needs and wants what you have. You don't want to be in an arm twisting battle trying to convince them to buy something that they don't necessarily know they need. So either they don't have a website, secondary could be their website is just awful. There are a lot of businesses who have awful websites. Or third, they're a brand new business just starting out and they know they need a website. So if you come in and solve it for $299 bucks, they would love you for that.
[00:18:06] Collin: Oh, yeah. Plus the marketing tools, you can't beat that deal.
[00:18:11] Bill: Yeah, exactly. And I think the marketing tool where it comes in really well is once you get to the point where you're ready to, you know, and for lack of a better word, I'll just say "close" the client, but it's not really the, a typical close. It's like the client says, "Yes, I need this. How much is it?" And you say, "$299," and they say, "Okay."
[00:18:28] That's the difficulty of the close. And so once you've done that, if there's any questions about why is it monthly, or do I need to keep paying monthly, or they have anything that they originate, it's quick and easy to handle it by explaining all of the extra value they're getting. So they get hosting, they get email marketing tools, they get social media marketing tools, and that's a great way to kinda handle client concerns or objections about the monthly fee.
[00:18:57] So, okay, let me jump on here and show us the preview. So here is version one of the site, and what it did is it did a little montage. These are actual photos, it looks like from their actual jobs that they worked on as the homepage image. So it was able to extract from their Google Maps listing what services they deliver. They also realize that they can do custom projects. There's a bunch of photos of them actually doing their work. So they're not just a plumber, they're a home remodeling company, which that's interesting. And this looks like a promo that it pulled off of the, the internet. And I can tell here they don't even have a business email address. You see their @gmail right there? So this client would probably love this site because now they can have an email address at their domain name, which comes with this, by the way. They get their own custom email inbox for their business with this So lots of graphic examples. That's cool. Now one thing I want to point out here too is it is going to pull real reviews, as you can see here, based on 52 Google reviews. You can see their average review ranking and then it's pulled some of the best examples and put them on the website." Ready to start your project." There's all their contact info, their hours, a link to their Google Maps listing, and their address
[00:20:35] So there's an example, and I would say 90% of the time, and Colin, you can correct my math if I'm off, but I would say 90% of the time this is going to be enough. And then for those of you it's not enough, you're talking maybe five to 10 minutes of work to make it be enough before they're ready to go. And you're the ones, hands-on in the field doing this. Does that seem accurate?
[00:21:04] Collin: That's pretty accurate. It might even be higher than that. I get, every once in a while it's more... And sometimes it's just a color thing or a font thing, and you know how fast that is to change. So it's like, "Okay, no problem. We'll change that." Or we just like, "Oh, I just like this type of design." And so, "Okay, I'll change that real quick." You change it, and then you show it to them, and they like it. So usually it's ready to ship almost instantly regardless.
[00:21:29] Bill: So I want to demo how easy it is to do a revision. Let's actually do a revision on this site right here. Now I'm going to attempt to use Buildy Voice to do this, just to kind of show off how simple it can be. I'll be honest, I have never actually tried Buildy Voice for this, so fingers crossed that I don't have egg on my face here. But I think it should work just like usual. So let's give that a try. So down here, because I'm zoomed in, it's hard to see it, but see it says "Speak with Buildy Beta." So I'm going to use this feature and we're going to do a quick revision to this website because I don't like what it did for the homepage hero shot. I think it's a little cluttered, a little weird looking. I want it to be something a little bit better. So, I'm going to talk to Buildy about that, and let's see what, how it goes.
[00:22:19] Buildy: Hey, Staging. Welcome back. The general home renovation website is looking good. One natural next step would be adding a quote request form so visitors can describe their project and reach out directly as leads.
[00:22:32] Bill: Yeah, I really like that idea, but let's do something else. So I'm building this project for a client, and the big hero image at the top of the page is just way too cluttered and full of stuff. So I'd like to make a page that represents you know, a positive outcome of, like, a worker, a plumber who just finished a horrible link under someone's sink, and maybe they're holding a broken pipe in one hand. And then there's a woman who is also in the kitchen of the house who's very happy that her sink has been fixed. And I'd like to do that as the background image. Can you do that for me?
[00:23:13] Buildy: That is a great visual, a real human moment that tells the story instantly. Just to confirm, you want me to generate an AI image of a plumber holding a broken pipe with a happy homeowner woman nearby in a kitchen and use that as the new hero background on the site?
[00:23:31] Bill: That's right.
[00:23:35] Buildy: On it. I'm sending the team to generate that image and drop it in as the hero background right away. The team is generating the image now, a warm, realistic scene with the plumber holding the broken pipe and the happy homeowner in the kitchen background. Once the image is ready, they will swap it straight into the hero section as the background. That kind of human, story-driven visual tends to build trust way faster than a generic stock photo. I'll let you know as soon as it is live in the preview. While we wait, one thing worth thinking about is the hero text sitting on top of that new image. Depending on how the scene is lit, we may want to adjust the overlay or the text color to make sure it all reads cleanly.
[00:24:20] Bill: Yeah, I definitely want it to be visible and not like blurred into the background.
[00:24:28] Buildy: Totally agree. The image should feel intentional, not washed out. I'll make sure the team keeps the overlay light enough that the scene actually reads so you can clearly see the plumber, the pipe, and the happy homeowner.
[00:24:45] Bill: All right, so I've muted him out so he's not hearing me. And he gets very confused when I try to talk to you and him at the same time.
[00:24:51] Buildy: The team is actively swapping the new image into the hero section right now, so we're close. One other thought, since this site is for a handyman-
[00:25:00] Bill: Yeah, how about let's not do any more thoughts. Let's just finish this for now
[00:25:10] Buildy: That's all done. The hero section now has the new AI-generated image, the plumber with the broken pipe, and the happy homeowner in the kitchen set as the full background. The business name and call to action buttons are overlaid on top, so everything stays visible and readable. Take a look in the preview and let me know if you want to adjust anything about the image or the text on top of it.
[00:25:33] Bill: Nope, it looks great. It, it looks great. That's all we'll do for now. Thanks, Buildy!
[00:25:38] Buildy: Glad it landed well. Have a great one, Staging.
[00:25:43] Bill: The test account I'm in is called Staging. That's why he keeps calling me Staging. But so he'll call you by your name. So I want to point something out here. So I use the voice mode, but you don't have to. You can use the text mode. In fact, many people prefer it. But out of our 30 minutes a day of voice allotment, we used three. So that revision didn't take seconds, but it took minutes. So we used a whopping three minutes of time to finish that revision. Now, if you don't want to use Buildy Voice, don't turn him on and just type down here in the text panel, and we could do the same thing. I notice one more thing that we can adjust. I probably want to adjust that button a little bit. It's like kinda semi transparent until you scroll, you know? I really like that effect of how when you scroll, it turns white. That's cool. So you would just chat with him down here. " When you view the homepage before scrolling," just make sure you explain it well to him the button at the top right. Here, I'll zoom in so you can see what I'm typing here. One second. I'm making this super big so you can see what I'm typing here. "It's transparent and you cannot see the number listed on it. Please adjust this so it's not totally transparent or invisible at first." Submit. Boom. So that's how you would just use the text chat. So, gives you an example of how that works. And so you could use text or voice, either way, and you can go through and adjust, tweak, improve as you see fit.
[00:27:52] You should spend, again, literally minutes doing revisions. It should not be a long, lengthy thing. And in fact if the client has a very specific vision for what they want to build, just rebuild the site and do it the way they want it. That would be my suggestion. So if I had a client in front of me who was like, "Oh, this site is all wrong. I want it to be this way and that way, and I want it this colors, and I want..." and they gave me a big laundry list, I would get them to put that in writing. And then I would actually just go back and rebuild a new site, and I would put all those instructions into Buildy , and then three minutes later, it's going to pop out exactly like the client wants. So I wouldn't stress about revisions. The point is, this project, the way this works, there are not a lot of revisions. Many times there are literally zero revisions, and if there are, you spend moments putting them together. It is not a lengthy process. Okay, so now the client's site, you're happy with it. You think it's good enough to show them, right? So you're just going to do a quick round of polishing and improving anything major that you think you want to fix before you send it to the client, and then you come up here to "Publish and Share." And when you have built a site through the Consultant Program, that's the only time you get this. It must be created through the Consultant Program, or you will not see this link right here that says "Send to Client," okay? So that's very important to know. If you just go into Buildy and make a project, it will not have this feature. So it must be made through the Buildy Consultant Program. Then you will have this "Send to Client" button, and we're going to click it. So I can see it here. It did my revision. Okay, so it put a little blur on there. I like that. That worked out well. Okay, so we're going to come up here. Again, "Publish and Share." We're going to click "Send to Client." We get this thing here we click "Generate Claim Link." And this part takes just a moment. There we go. There is the link that we can now share with our client. Okay? We can also deactivate the link if the client upsets us and we don't want to work with them anymore, which if anybody's problematic, just move on. You don't have to work with people that you don't want to work with. You don't have to help people that you don't want to help. If they're being difficult, they get abusive, they say anything you don't like, "next." Deactivate their link and move on I want to work with people who value the services we provide for them, and when you have that attitude and you have that perspective, you tend to attract really good clients, and you have a lot better time in business. So I really recommend you all have that attitude, that we are helping businesses solve a critical problem, and if they're not appreciative of that, and they're not polite and helpful and loving to work with you, just move on and go to the next one because there are millions of businesses in America, not to mention around the world, that need our services.
[00:31:02] So we're going to copy that link, and here, give me a second, I'll open this up in another tab. Oh, that's right. Which by the way, if you try to visit the link in the same browser that you are logged into, it will not work. Right? because this link you send to your client who does not yet have a Buildy account. So if you visit this link, just want to make sure you understand, it will not work. So here's what I'm going to do. Let me adjust my screen a little bit because I want to show side by side what it looks like to a client and what it looks like to you. Okay, so let me just zoom out a little bit. Okay and then I'm going to pull the other screen over. Give me just a moment. So this side here is what the client sees. So we have on the left is your login right here. You've logged in and made this site. And remember we did the publish and share to get the client link. This on the right side is what the client sees. Right? So they see complete your payment, right? They can also view the live site by clicking right there. That opens up the finished project in another window so they can see it directly there, or they see it here. And so once they're ready for this and you're telling them, "Okay, there's the site. Check it out. Let's get this in your account," they go through this process. Step one, they go and they click "Pay Now."
[00:32:59] And oh, you know what? Hold on one second here. I have to close all my private windows. One second. I had another incognito window open to another project, and I messed up my demo. Okay, let me try this again. So I'm going to open up another private window. There we go. So take two. And I'll quickly go over this again. Okay, so this is what your client sees. And it starts out for them to claim their website, they have to create their account. That is step one. So you send them this link. They still have the preview, so they can click the preview to view the site. They're going to say, "Man, this is awesome. I want my new website. I'm tired of not having a website. You're my hero." And then they come over here and they fill this out. So let's let's call this Fake Plumber, okay? That's his name. Fake Plumber @, I'll just use my email. And then we gotta give it a password. So I'm just making stuff up here as we go so I can quickly demo this for you. That's phone number. Okay, so we'll say 213-935-5512. And then they're going to hit "Create Account." Now, for some wild reason, they already have a Buildy account, they can also log into it here, okay? But again, your clients are not going to have a Buildy account. No one will probably ever need to use this unless maybe they come back after you have shown them the site once, and then you build a second one for them, they would have to log in, okay? Now, we just click "Create Account." Oh, shoot, I broke it because I clicked it from the other window. Darn it. All right, let me think how I'm going to handle this here. Jay, I'm going to have to build another project and and redo this demo, because it completely messed it up because I logged into the wrong account when I when I went to that window.
[00:35:17] Jay: Well, all right. Let's go ahead and do it.
[00:35:20] Bill: Yeah, yeah. So we'll do some Q&A while I build. So we'll do that. So we'll go here, and then I'm going to quickly go in and rebuild this project while we do that.
[00:35:32] Jay: Okay. Somebody's asking this BuildyAI Consultant works worldwide so you can target and promote this offer in different countries?
[00:35:42] Bill: Yeah. It works anywhere.
[00:35:45] Jay: Somebody's asking, "So it's my responsibility to do some revisions, that's part of the process?"
[00:35:50] Bill: Yep, if the client wants them, and as Colin mentioned earlier, they often don't even want them.
[00:35:56] Jay: Okay. Yeah, so they could skip the revisions process and just accept the site?
[00:36:02] Bill: Yeah, revisions are only if the client wants it, you know? If the client specifically asks for it, then yes, you would do the revisions.
[00:36:08] Jay: And is that managed through the dashboard?
[00:36:09] Bill: It is. I didn't get to show that yet because of that my, my mess up ...
[00:36:13] Jay: Okay. So we'll get, so we'll get there. Okay. All right. If they already have a site, can we offer them the voice agent? Actually, I know the answer to that one.
[00:36:23] Bill: Yeah, go for it.
[00:36:24] Jay: So n- not with this program you can't, no that's only available in the Agency program. It's not that it's not available, once you transfer the site to them, they could build their own voice agent if they want to. There's a question about how many templates does Buildy AI use in creating websites? Will they all look the same?
[00:36:47] Bill: Every single one is unique. There is no template.
[00:36:51] Jay: Okay, and you can always ask it to change things like you just saw Bill do. So you can change colors or fonts or anything very, very easily. What about domain names? Can we get them for them, or do they have to be purchased through Buildy? And also, what if they already have their own domain in the name of the business through GoDaddy or something?"
[00:37:13] Bill: Yeah, if they have a domain, we will help them connect it. So that'll happen on our end, and that's part of the process of once you hand it over to us, we will help them register the domain name. And yeah, it will cost the domain registration fee, so it will be a small extra fee for them to register a domain. Or they will be able to point an existing domain, and we will help them with that.
[00:37:35] Jay: Okay. John's asking, "Do you have the marketing materials that tell customers the deliverables that they will receive, like hosting, email, et cetera, everything that comes with their site?"
[00:37:46] Bill: Other than what's on the website already, the assets we have for that is what's shown on the homepage and on the website. Yeah, nothing additional.
[00:37:57] Jay: "Will charges requiring tech support be charged to the client?" Or changes made.
[00:38:05] Bill: Changes. Well, you would do the revisions as part of this before their site is launched, and then once you hand over the client to us, we handle all the support. But before that happens, you have to get them happy with the site that they're willing to accept.
[00:38:21] Jay: Okay, "Is there any way to reactivate a link after it's been deactivated?" So the claim link.
[00:38:28] Bill: I don't know. I've never deactivated one. I think you'd have to build a new project, which, like you see me, I'm doing that right now in the background. The new project would take, like, three minutes to build, so that's probably what you'd have to do.
[00:38:41] Jay: Yeah, and I'm not sure, D. Scott Moore one, your question there about making their own website suggestion or if they need tech support. I think we've already answered that, but just to let you know.
[00:38:52] Bill: Yeah, there's no charge for tech support, for sure. But we're also not, like, a marketing agency or design service, so if they're asking to redesign their site, we're going to teach them how to do it. They'll be in charge of their site. We'll teach them how to use the features and things inside. And so it's not like we're going to just go in and do a bunch of design work for them. Basically, we just teach them how to use Buildy, is really how that works.
[00:39:18] Jay: Okay. And then, yeah, then there's a question about will they get a free domain, and I think I already answered that. But yeah, the answer is no. They do have to register their domain through Buildy if they want to, or they can also register it other places, but in any case, they do have to pay for it. One more question here. So "when we build them a site and hand it over to them, are we supposed to set up their ads?"
[00:39:42] Bill: No
[00:39:46] Jay: Okay. And that's the last question I see. I think I covered everything. So there've been a lot of questions popping in.
[00:39:52] Bill: So with that, we'll go back to Q&A. So Jay, we can go back and do some more questions.
[00:39:58] Jay: Okay, great. There was a question about " what does a domain cost in Buildy?"
[00:40:04] Bill: Well, that price is changing. So we have been listing domains at under - we actually lose money on every domain at the price we have right now. The registrar's charging me more money than we're charging you, so that price is changing. So I would say refer to Buildy for this price. I think it will be $29 a year is, I think, the permanent price, and that includes a domain and one email inbox as part of that $29 a year.
[00:40:32] Jay: All right, cool, okay. And then revisiting the question of what deliverables can they promise they would get when they sign up for Buildy and claim the site. I think I'm just going to post in the chat the direct link to the billing page, and so people could go there once you're logged into Buildy, get there. That way you can go check it out. So basically it's all of the amenities and features that are offered through the Pro level of Buildy. That's what they're signing up for.
[00:41:03] Bill: Exactly. Yeah, that's a good thing. You could actually log into that and show that to the user. I think that would be a great idea, yeah.
[00:41:10] Jay: Mm-hmm. Yeah, if you're working with them in person or on Zoom or something, yeah. And Scott was actually asking, "Can this be done in person or on our laptop?" Well, they probably need their laptop, right? So as well, so they could go through the process.
[00:41:24] Bill: Yeah, you log in on your computer and then if they're accepting the deal, they'll do that on theirs, right?
[00:41:30] Jay: Okay. Okay. All right. And then Derek was asking "In the process of accepting the site that it would let them choose a domain name at that point?"
[00:41:41] Bill: It's a good recommendation. So, it's not built that way yet, but, at the time we're recording this, is the public launch of this. I have a few friends that are doing this. I know Colin is just now, I think today starting on the, being the consultant himself. Yep ... so this is all brand new. So I would love to hear suggestions, recommendations for features and improvements. Definitely let me know and we'll evolve this, especially those of you who get active and are producing results, if like you need additional things or additional features, whatever, we're going to listen very closely to either features that are commonly requested from those who are producing substantial results. I'm going to be listening very carefully to see how we can improve this going forward.
[00:42:26] Jay: Okay. Great. And then John was saying, "It was hard for you to do it, so will we probably have to talk each client through activating and receiving their site?"
[00:42:37] Bill: I didn't totally understand that .
[00:42:39] Jay: Oh, I think he was saying that it looked like it was hard for you to get through that process of of claiming the site.
[00:42:44] Bill: Oh, no, that process is, it's like super easy. Yeah. You fill out a form and you hit a button. Yeah. Yeah, that, that's it.
[00:42:49] Jay: Yeah. Yeah, John, that was just really because of Bill's, different accounts that he was logged into. Yeah. And and he just didn't have the right one that he was logged into when he was working on it. So yeah, for you, it'll be much simpler. I mean, all you have to do is send them the link. They click it, they walk through the process of reviewing the site and looking at it, and then they sign up. So pretty, pretty straightforward, really.
[00:43:10] Bill: Yeah. Now also, with that being said, I would recommend that you get the client through that process when you're talking to them. If you're doing the phone and if you're doing Zoom or if you're in person, I would recommend helping them through that process and encouraging them to finish it while you're with them. It's easy to let them procrastinate, you know, and be like, "Oh, I'll get around to it later." So you're going to have a higher degree of success if you can kind of coax them through the process, but it's very easy to do. Yeah.
[00:43:40] Jay: Yeah. You're just basically going to be guiding them a little bit. Pretty easy. Someone's asking "Do they have to use the revision option before they accept?"
[00:43:52] Bill: No, they can accept immediately. It's optional. They can, if they want to send revisions, they can send up to two rounds of revisions through that interface before they have to accept at the bottom. So they can completely skip revisions and just accept it, or they can ask for them. It's optional.
[00:44:10] Jay: Okay. And then there's a question "How will we get paid?"
[00:44:14] Bill: So as soon as you have commissions that you have earned in a calendar month, at the end of that month, our accounting team will reach out to you. We will get your payment information. The easiest way for us to pay you is going to be through direct deposit. So, we'll reach out to you and make arrangements to collect your payment information and get you paid out.
[00:44:36] Jay: Let's go to the next question. "So they pay 200 and we get paid 299?"
[00:44:43] Bill: So they pay, it's a total of $299. So they're going to pay a $200 setup fee and then their first month of Buildy, which is $99. So a grand total of $299, and then you get paid the whole $299. A 100% of the setup and the first month's payment.
[00:45:02] Jay: Jim wants a little more clarification. He says, "So there will be a separate charge for the domain upon acceptance?"
[00:45:11] Bill: Yes. For the way the system is set up, the domain part is something that we help the client with and take care of.
[00:45:21] Jay: Not quite sure about this one, but it says, "Where will the business be in Buildy?"
[00:45:26] Bill: So, when you're working on the client's site before they accept that transfer, remember on the page I showed, which here, hopefully I didn't close that window. There it is. Let me show it here. So the right panel here is what the client sees, right? So all the way until the moment they click this button, it lives in your account, and you can always have access to it and come back and see it. Because remember on the left side over here is your consultant account, and it's right there. So you can see the projects here, and you notice the green label where it says Client Build. So you can see this one's awaiting approval. So, all the way until you, they, the client clicks Approve, at that point, the website is copied out of your account and goes into theirs. So you have control all the way until the click of this button right here, and then the client gets control. That's how that works.
[00:46:28] Jay: Okay. And then Jim is asking, "Is it clear enough that once they accept, they are on their own?"
[00:46:37] Bill: It certainly should be. And then you can let them know that as well when you're talking to them. You can say, "My job is to build your website and get you started." And you can let them know that the Buildy team will be reaching out to them and they'll learn how to use their new account.
[00:46:53] Jay: Okay. And then "do they get to use their Buildy account for free for 10 days?
[00:46:59] Bill: No, no. They're paying $299 immediately for this deal. In order for you to make the website for them, they're paying right away
[00:47:09] Jay: Don't see any additional questions, so maybe we just final call for any last-minute burning questions.
[00:47:14] Bill: All right, cool. Yeah, so at this point, final call. Send in your questions now, and we'll do a final round of Q&A. And again, remember, you can always email help@buildy.ai for more help from here. And some of you will want to turn this into a business and can actually create a six-figure business by closing one deal a day. And so that's the whole point of the program, and we're going to do everything we can to support you through making this happen. And I do want to say one thing before we get to that final round of questions. And there is a tendency, it's a human tendency, and it's in all of us and that is to be careful and to make sure we understand things 100%, and we don't rush forward and move into things without careful consideration and thought. And I think theory could be it's maybe this is evolution, you know? All the people who are risk-takers end up getting eaten by lions or something, so then everyone who's left is a little bit more cautious and unwilling to rush into things. And we've also had a great deal of training, whether that's through school, from our parents when we were younger and a variety of other places. In the workforce, you're very often trained to not put your neck out, not do unusual and different things, because you get stung for that, right? You get reprimanded for "not following the rules." So in this case, in the program that we're putting in front of you right this moment, you gotta do the opposite. You have to rush into it. You're not going to understand it fully. You're not going to know all the details. You're not going to know all the objections that people are going to give you. You're not going to know all the problems you're going to run into, and you need to do it anyway, okay? And I'm saying this with, like, the greatest love. You've gotta rush in and just start taking action, start doing things. It will be imperfect. You probably will get a client who's going to get confused, and then you just reach out to us and you get help, help@buildy.ai. And that is the path for progress and the path to making money.
[00:49:31] And in fact, I want to ask each of you guys for a moment here. I'll start with Colin, because Colin, I know you have coached and helped quite a few of our Buildy Partnership Program students. And we have some students who are, after many months, still in that early phase thinking about what they're going to do, and then we have other students who actually have money coming in. And so, in reference to this, what is the difference between those two?
[00:50:00] Collin: I would say to be successful, to be successful with this program, you have to have somewhat of how do I put this? High agency and be willing to, like Bill says, stick your neck out and just do it. You don't learn from not going and doing it. You sitting here and pondering a bunch of questions, and I see a lot of people do it. I've had people I worked with in BAPP that were, they'll get on the phone with me, "What if this happens? What if this happens?" Like, who cares? If it happens, that's when you deal with it. And don't be afraid to admit to a client, like, "Hey, I don't know. Let me get with my team and get back to you on that." Because then it's another thing to get their guard down too. It'll make you look human, and that's okay with people. People want that. People don't like the AI all the time, in their face. Like, "Hey, I don't know. Let me go find out." And you're going to learn from that, 100%. And that's how I've gotten to where I am with it, where I can go in to businesses and when they ask me a question, I've seen all these things come up, questions, issues. I can address them now because I've came back to the team, I've figured things out just by doing it. It's not like a hard thing to do. It's an easy sale.
[00:51:13] Bill: Well, that's how the whole program started, right? Like, we chatted. I said, "Hey, do these three things. Go out and do this." I didn't give you any other info, and you just went out and did those things and you're like, "Okay, I got a client! Now what do I do?"
[00:51:26] Collin: Yeah.
[00:51:27] Bill: Right?
[00:51:27] Collin: And it was the same day. It was crazy. Like, I didn't expect it. Because like I said, I'm not a salesperson. It'll come out of nowhere, and then I was confused and I was like, "What's the next step?" And then I sat down and we figured it out, and now I have guys making sales for me, so it's like, this is great, you know. Just do it. Go nuts.
[00:51:44] Bill: Yeah, exactly. Exactly. The Nike we'll just follow Nike. Just do it. Yeah.
[00:51:48] Collin: Exactly ...
[00:51:48] Bill: And so one other thing I wa- I want to go to Jay for a second on this too, because Jay has a slightly different perspective. And, and I know, Jay, you've coached and mentored a lot of entrepreneurs over the years. Some have some really amazing successes. And I just I want to get your two cents on this. How important is it that you take action even though you don't fully have all the answers?
[00:52:11] Jay: Oh, yeah, it's extremely important. I mean, the thing is that by taking action you're going to learn, and you're also going to actually get results. And so, you know, that's where people a lot of times fall down. They're waiting to be told exactly what they should be doing and what they need to do instead of simply moving forward and figuring it out as you go. And so, imperfect action is so much more productive and successful than perfect action. If you're focused on how to get it perfect, you're probably never going to get it done
[00:52:42] Bill: I agree 100%. And I know personally in my success over the years with entrepreneurship, going back to especially all the way back in the '90s, the early days of my online marketing experiences, there were two things that I owe my success to. One was my willingness to charge ahead like a bull in a china closet and break stuff, right? And just move forward knowing full well stuff wasn't going to go right. I was going to run ads that weren't going to make money. I was going to build websites that sometimes didn't work. I was going to rush through it all, learn what wasn't working, fix them and get to the other side. The second thing that I owe my success to is my stubbornness, right? I get an idea that I want to have done, and I'm like the pit bull grabbed onto a toy, right, or a bone. Not going to let go until I get that result. And it's those two things is really where my success lies. It's not because of some specialized technical knowledge that I had or specialized marketing knowledge. I knew nothing about marketing when I started this all those years ago. Now 25-plus years later, I know a thing or two about marketing, but when I started, I knew nothing. So it was my willingness to just charge ahead and break stuff, and my stubbornness to keep at it, even when those things weren't going the way I had hoped. And so I want to impart that onto you to succeed, not just in the Buildy Consultant Program, but in anything entrepreneurial in life. You really gotta embrace these two things. And so, on that note, we'll do our final round of questions, and then we'll wrap it up.
[00:54:23] Jay: All right. Sounds good. Okay. Well, first one positive comment. Chad was, Chad was saying, "Very cool technology. Amazing." So that's something nice to hear. Thank you.
[00:54:33] Bill: Awesome.
[00:54:33] Jay: Yeah. And then question is, "Does it disclose that we are affiliates?"
[00:54:39] Bill: In this arrangement you're a consultant, and so I think represent yourself as a Buildy consultant. And you're not an agency, and you're also not quite an affiliate. It's like this weird hybrid , right? Yeah. So just call yourself a consultant. You're like an outside contractor of Buildy. Yeah.
[00:54:58] Jay: Yeah, I think that's a great way to say it, because consultants, they come in, they analyze a problem for a client and then they build a solution, and then they leave, right? So that's basically what you're doing, kind of the same thing. But you're finding them and then inviting them to accept your project, which is pretty easy to do. And then once they accept it, then you're out Let's see. " What if customers ask for help after they get the site?"
[00:55:24] Bill: You politely redirect them to email help@buildy.ai. So you say, "Awesome question. I'm not the person that can help answer that, but here's who can." And then by being polite and giving them that gentle redirection over to the right place, maybe if they come to you, by the third time of you doing that, they'll realize that coming to you directly is a waste of time, and then you'll train them to go directly to support. But that is the polite, gentle redirection over to where they can get help, you know? "I can't help you with that, but here's where you can get help."
[00:56:05] Jay: There you go. All right. " So if a business stops paying the $99 a month, do they lose their website?"
[00:56:12] Bill: They do.
[00:56:15] Jay: I mean, it's a hosting fee and honestly it's, well, it's hosting and tools and everything. So, honestly, it's a fabulous deal. I've, people I've talked to and presented the whole Buildy idea to and told them how much it costs for what you're getting, are blown away because they're like, "Wait a minute, I don't have to have an autoresponder? Wait, social media posting? What?" I mean, there's so many different tools that people thought they needed in the past that with Buildy they don't need them anymore. They can save a lot of money.
[00:56:41] Bill: And there's new tools being inserted in there every week. Like, Jay, have you seen the social media calendar? Have you seen that yet?
[00:56:48] Jay: Oh, I have not. Geez. Okay.
[00:56:51] Bill: Yeah. So, you now have a complete scheduling calendar for all of your social media that lives inside Buildy now.
[00:56:56] Jay: So, that's actually a big deal. That used to be an entire business that several companies had, that they sold you, and you paid a monthly subscription for.
[00:57:04] Bill: Well, there's one right now, $199 a month, it's a social media scheduling calendar. I'm canceling it. I don't need it anymore. It's all now part of Buildy. And I'm paying more for that than what we charge for a Pro account.
[00:57:16] Jay: Yeah. It's super amazing value, it really is. So let's see. Mark says, "This is a great opportunity. Thanks, Bill."
[00:57:23] Bill: You are welcome. Oh, one thing I forgot to do is one of the things that came with the purchase of the Consultant Program was a consultation with our team. So, here, actually I'll open it up on the screen, Russell gave me this link to share, so I'm going to I'm going to share it here. It's an AI success session. So if you have not scheduled your session yet, I will put a link to that in here now. Let me paste that. That's where you can get to that page. And so you can get in the calendar, schedule a time to talk to the team, and they'll help you with an AI success session. And by the way, that's also a great time to chat with them about our Agency plan. If you're interested in Agency or our Partner Program, you can chat a bit more with them about that once you get your consultation as well.
[00:58:21] Jay: Yeah. Yeah. And I think just to add, so some people might not be super aware of the JobCrusher brand. So this is a brand that that we've all worked under for a while. Buildy is our new brand. So, we do still have some things that we host over on the JobCrusher site, but that is still related to Buildy.
[00:58:40] Bill: Yeah, yeah. Yeah, one day we'll, we'll escape JobCrusher. But right now we have membership sites and credit card processing and all this stuff happening there, so JobCrusher lives on for now.
[00:58:52] Jay: Exactly. So, yeah. And then Derek came back and said, "Yeah, so I'm an outside Buildy consultant." That sounds good.
[00:58:58] Bill: Yeah. Like the sound of that.
[00:58:59] Jay: That's a good way to say it, actually. Okay. So then Leslie's asking, "How do we set up where we get paid to our bank?"
[00:59:08] Bill: The minute you're owed commissions on the calendar month, when the month closes out, if you're owed commissions, we will reach out to you and set that up. So we'll need to get a little bit of contact info from you. And we might need some tax information depending on where you're at in the world. And then we'll collect the data we need to send you direct deposits to your bank account. So our accounting team will reach out to you. The very first month that you are owed commission, they will reach out by email and they may call you to make arrangements to make sure you get paid.
[00:59:42] Jay: All right, sounds good. Well, that's all the questions, so I think we can wrap it up.
[00:59:46] Bill: All right, fantastic. Well, Colin and Jay, thank you for helping out today.
[00:59:51] Jay: You bet.
[00:59:52] Collin: No problem.
[00:59:52] Bill: And I can't wait to see what you guys do with this. I'm excited about it. I'm so excited about it that, Colin, this is like almost everything you're doing now is how to do this yourself internally. We're actually doing the Consultant Program ourselves inside our own company. So this is not just some, like, crazy program we cooked up to sell to you. We're doing this ourselves inside of our company. So, I can't wait to see what all of you do with this, and it's a true win-win. When we cooked this up, I wanted it to be something where we could acquire new customers. So, I love having new business customers, you know, small businesses across the world. I love helping them. It's a great way for me to get new business customers and for you to have an opportunity to make a nice income at the same time. You know, I have a a friend of mine who he wants to build an entire sales organization, manning up a sales floor with, like, eight people calling out and selling this program.
[01:00:56] That's how hot this thing is, and it's a true win-win. So you can build up - whether you want to do it part-time on the side and make the $299 a pop - or whether you want to build a six figure and beyond business, or manage a team, like that's what Colin will be doing, managing a team of people doing this. My other friend, who's done some huge things in the marketing world will be doing this. He'll have a whole team that he's building up. So you can go all in that way, or you can just make a little side money, but it's a true win-win, and I can't wait to see what you do with it. And with that, we'll see you next time.
[01:01:30] Collin: Yeah. See you guys.
[01:01:32] Bill: Bye for now.
